A Start with a New Author
I love to read but always cringe when I have to find a new author after finishing a last book available. So, did the obvious and went to the reviews we write. Auston King sounded like many of the well written and enjoyable books I’ve read this year. Jason Drake portrayed and emulated many of the main characters in other series. AND, there were seven books in this series. I was not disappointed. A complex story line became apparent, yet there were enough twists to keep it interesting. Look forward to book number two.

First time read of this author
Really enjoyed the book. Some silly inaccuracies that made me cringe, but an enjoyable plot. Curious what the next in the series will bring.

thriller
This book was none stop thrilling. From America to Syria to Russia. The political aspect was scary. The characters were so believable. This would make a great series on Netflix. Its too big for just a miovie. On to the next book.

would make a great movie.
Love the story. Fast paced with believability. I look forward to the next one and the next one and the next one.

a true page-turner
Excellent story and characters, marred only by poor grammar and worse proofreading. Not sure if it is the author’s doing, or the editor’s.

a bit much
A bit too much to be really believable, interesting premises, hopefully second book will have a more believable plot line and feel more accurate

hard...
This book was hard, not hard to read, but very hard to put down! I am over 70 and don't sleep well. This is one of the best with action, explanations and content. Can't wait to start the next book.

Another great writer discovered by a lifelong reader.
A creative and action packed story with well developed and likeable characters. This is a book that I looked forward to picking back up as soon as I set it down. My father would have enjoyed this if he was still with us. He taught me to love books. I hope he is reading this series along with me. Thank you Auston, for Jason Drake and hours of enjoyment.

First read for Jason Drake
Enjoyed the fast pace of this book. I did wonder at some things such as the craziness of some of the characters (are people in Washington really that crazy?) And some of the actions of these characters and security mistakes. But a good story overall.

Fantastic book!
This book is fantastic. Plenty of attention to detail, great story line and an all round great read. As good as any spy novel I’ve read from world renowned writers. Highly recommended.

Very thin plot
This book is boring & unrealistic. Especially how the villains of the same side find the “hero” all the time without any logical reason is totally unbelievable. Maybe it is guess work & coincidences while the people on hero’s own side just want to sacrifice themselves one way or the other just for the fun of it. The book also overuses the word “&#holes” to a ridiculous extent. Certainly not my cup of tea.
