STEELMAN PRO 78829 Bluetooth Tire Pressure and Tread Depth Gauge

I got this to help manage my fleets tire program. Its worthless for that job, you cant do duel's or multiple axels. It wont read beyond 20/32nds. I tried to work with the app to come up with a plan to use it but it becomes to cumbersome for the software and it wont accurately keep track or it will over write your tread depths. Good idea but it falls short. I cant think of an auto fleet this would help either,the app is to weak to support anyone beyond a mom and pop lot.

Tire gauge reads 4 pounds higher pressure than actual pressure in tire. Used two other accurate gauges both agreed on pressure. This gauge is inaccurate.

The gauge came well packaged, with a nice bag for future storage. It did not come with batteries, so you'll want to order two CR2032 batteries ahead of time. Once I had those, it took maybe two minutes to put the batteries in, download the app, and pair the devices.For those of you who don't like to read directions (like me), it wasn't difficult to figure out what to do. The important piece to note is the gear changes tire (LF, RF, RR, LR in that order), and the power changes input type. Also, if you want to retake a tread depth measurement, just set it back to 0 and then retake.I liked being able to enter the vin and get the standards. The measurements were recorded in the app quickly.Sending the results took a little more effort. I successfully sent a screenshot to myself easy on the first car (emailed a png file). However, it took me a bit longer to find the send results page - on the tire setup page. Personally, I didn't have a use for that function yet so it wasn't a big deal. When working on the second car, I had to remember to clear the prior car's result.Overall, I found it easy to get up and going. No training required to find out if a car's tires are in good condition. I'm rating 4/5 because the app could use some simplification on the export methods, and maybe a clear sense of workflow (what to do first, second, etc). I did receive this product for free in exchange for an honest review.

I received the product …..I installed the batteries....I installed the app on my cell...I tested the device to make sure it worked....I threw it in my glovebox.....I wentto use it....it wouldn't turn on....I replaced the batteries, still wouldn't turn on....I checked my purchase date, my return window had expired....the company offered no otheroptions ( ie - repair ) in case such an expensive device should have issues... I never actually gotto use it in the 'real-world'.....it is primarily made of plastic...it has a cheap, flimsy feel versus the price....buyer beware...

can not integrate to own apps, does not fit 50% of valves

I like this tire pressure gauge. It would have got 5 stars if it included batteries. Uses CR2032 that you should order from Amazon when you buy this gauge.
