Very easy to use
This is a game changer. Very easy to use. Cuts effortlessly into hard DG and scoops out weeds with roots seemingly magically. It makes a difficult weeding job an easy fast and fun event. It is very easy to hold and light weight. The handle is about 18" long so you need to kneel, bend over, or sit on a garden stool. The blade is razor sharp and comes with a plastic sheath. I love it. Its the genuine item!

My favorite hoe.
I have 4 of these. My very favorite tool. Great for weeding. very sharp for digging holes and planting. Dangerous for children. I love to scrape between walking stones. I use it for planting every day. I am 72, with bad knee. A necessity for me.I have to have the 18" 12' is too short for me. I am 5'7" RED HANDLE IS A NECESSITY. I have lost one setting it down and it goes out with the garden trash

great weeding tool
I like the longer reach of this tool. I also have the shorter gama hoe but I find that the longer reach hoe is more useful. I can kneel in one spot and reach a wide area of weeds, so less time wasted moving around. Blade is very sharp on both hoes so quality is excellent for both.

The length of the handle is perfect, however I feel the extra length requires more leverage (is that word?), more power to use. In other words you have to put more muscle into it, the longer length makes the head feel heavier if you are using it for a long time at once. The shaft was weak and bent near where the head is attached to the handle. It is a great design, but not strong enough. I am using it in a flower garden, just average weeds, nothing too heavy. I would not purchase this again. The same design w the shorter handle has held up much better for me.

I wish I could rank it a zero
I'm a long-time Gardner. I have had several small hoes in the past and have loved them but have lost them. I saved up money for a large one it broke the very first job I used it. First couple swings I could feel the neck bending 2 hours into it snap right at the handle. You would think for the money it would be reinforced but no extremely weak bendable and a waste of money. Try a smaller one

Handle broken
I really liked the length of this hoe. Unfortunately, the handle already broke just as spring planting got started in the Pacific Northwest. Look for a hoe that’s welded with a stronger handle than this one.

changed my life
Been gardening since 1988. Wish I'd known about this then. This gets rugged, frequent use and has not dulled since the day I got it. Allows easy shallow cultivation. Very sharp, so use the plastic cover when storing.

Whoa!!
Goodness me, if only I had discovered this gem of a garden tool decades ago what a breeze many chores would have been!! Oh well, it's mine now and I love it!! Not only that but I've bought several more for others in my daylily society club and they love it too! This thing cuts under weeds like a hot knife through butter and it's sharp, no, I mean it's "really-super-duper" sharp!! Be careful. Thankfully it comes with a plastic cover for the blade when you put it up. When I'm in the garden and not using it I drive the point into the soil to prevent any accidents, or if my two puppies get too nosy, although they know they're not allowed in Momma's flower beds! LOLThe handle length works out perfectly to get that extra bit of reach and keep from standing up and moving down as often--hey at my age that's a blessing!Happy Gardening!!!
