2 Person Free Standing Hammock, 13 Ft. Sienna Stripe Quilted Hammock with Steel Stand & Pillow

California's 'shelter in place' order was taken seriously with this fine hammock! The hammock arrived just in time for the 4th of July weekend. 2 boxes. One box had the frame. The other box had the hammock and hardware. We assembled the hammock frame, just 3 pieces, with no trouble. The hammock and hardware were in a storage type bag with a nylon zipper, nice! The hardware is 2 chains and 4 'S' hooks. We deducted a star because the 'S' hooks did not fit! Same problem as the other person who posted a pic of the hooks not fitting the frame tube hole at the top.I asked my wife to try and make the hooks fit, wondering if I was having a brain cramp of just old! Neither of us could make the hooks fit into the frame tube. Bummer. I called customer service for help. I was on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and started looking for different 'S' hooks on Amazon. Confused by all of the choices online, an idea came to mind - modify the existing hooks. Here is the simple fix for the hooks that worked for us:I cut off 1/4" of the hook end then ground down the rough edges of the hooks. Bingo!!!! We now have a double hammock that fits both of us with room for our dog Moxana. 60 pound 10 month pitty mix.This is a 5 star hammock that is soooo comfy. 1 star deduction because of the mod, but no big deal. We are senior citizens. And Yes, we would buy this again.

I am coming from a really nice wooden framed hammock that I LOVED! I got this one to replace it after ours broke from the weakening wood from like 15 years of being left outside. Firstly...it's WELL WORTH the price. This is not some light weight item. I just put it together and jumped on it. The poles are fairly heavy and it goes together with NO tools, which is nice, but even nice, I can take it apart in like 30 seconds and put it away for the winter. The actual cloth is maybe a little cheaper than the one on my other hammock and perhaps not quite as wide...but then again, I think my other one was $400! The ONLY thing that I'm not thrilled about is that the poles fit together with some play, so it's not absolutely rigid like my wooden one was. Also, my other one had a rope with a carabiner at each corner which latched onto an eye loop to keep it from swinging back and forth a lot...so I'm going to just rig my own and then put a 2" steel "O" at the juncture of each leg section and secure to that. I can't imagine getting anything nice for the cost of this rig. Buy with confidence.

This is my first review on Amazon and since I rely on reviews when choosing a product, I feel compelled to voice my experience. It was time consuming to find one long enough for my 6'3" husband. I was hesitant to invest so much money, however; in this case the old adage "you get what you pay for" is so true! The stand is superior and has a lovely bounce. The color blends into the environment nicely. My one complaint is the pillow. It had so little batting in it that a 'pillow case' would be a more accurate description. I added an entire bag of batting and now it is perfect. I highly recommend this product!

Gift for daughter and family. Easy set up and arrived quicker than expected. Very durable and we are a sturdy family. No Problem holding a large adult and 9 and 5 yr old.Hammock lessons are a must to a successful and enjoyable Hammocking: using both hands, keep a safe hold by grasping the edges of the hammock while standing with arms on either side of your body; Gather some of the hammock edge to place under your Dierriere' and just sit into it. Steady on and easy does it. I suggest you sit a just a little to the right of middle of the hammock for best placement, so your head is a little higher towards one end. Get steady as you sit gently on the edge, then release your non dominant hand and reach behind you to grasp the opposite edge of hammock as you lean back into hammock. You should now be laying in the hammock. Next adjust your feet onto the canvass sling while still holding both sides for balance. Your there and enjoy your nap and quiet time.! Happy napping!!

Very competitive price for a 2 person hammock. It does its job.Quality I would give a B+, the structure requires a little trust to actually put your weight down, as the parts are not tightly connected. Instead you can easily setup and tear down (to move) the stand. The stand is effectively 3 pieces, the tube on the ground connects the 2 side at the head and feet respectively, click-in and go. OK, each piece is heavy, so not a light task literally. But thats what you want if you want to rely on it.Inherent to this design the hammock is fairly flat, which has pros and cons. The comfort while you are on it is much better than without the 2 horizontal stabilizers. The con is that you have to carefully maintain your balance when shifting or else your party continues below the hammock.

One of the welds on the stand was incomplete (welded on one side of the metal but not the other-deducting 1 star for that). All other welds were complete. It seems sturdy enough though. I debated on returning it, but then I imagined the P.I.T.A. it would have been to repackage it. I'm rolling the dice and hoping that I don't crap out. It is comfortable, fits me (5'10 210 lbs.) and my girlfriend (less than me <-safe description) without issue. I have had the stand and the chain (which doubles great for hanging plants) out in the elements for a few months now without any rust development. I rolled the actual hammock up with ease and am keeping it in the garage when not in use in hopes of elongating its life.
