Make Sure It's Built To Take on the Big Sized Smartphones
Umm, if one has a smaller mobile phone this would probably work. Scoche is my favourite brand, but my phone is too big.

Great idea to use the unused CD slot
Very strong, well made, sturdy.Only precaution is that if it’s not completely centred, there’s a chance to knock it off if you type aggressivelyExcellent idea to use the outdated CD Slot, as it covers the unused areas of the dash now, instead of the heat/air vents (Ford F150 2003)

MAG12VB MagicMount Magnetic Phone
Pros;It connects right into the car outlet.USB outlet is right there to connect a cable to your phone, it's not wasting the car outlet just to hold your phone up.CONSThe little blue light to tell you that it is on is BRIGHT AS F! When you're driving at night time the whole vehicle is just a blue glow. Completely distracting, we had to use a bandaid from our vehicle first aid kit to temporarily obstruct the light until we got back home. Then we used some white-out to "dim " the brightness on it.Over time the device would pop out of the car outlet. You would have to push it back in againThe MAG12VB would be in the car outlet, but not pushed in far enough to keep your phone charged. Keep an eye on the blue light.Other than that 10 days/7,000km of driving I would recommend it for when you have a rental or when you're having to use someone else's car.Personally I would purchase the one with the adhesive and have it permanently mounted to my vehicle in which case I did

Extremely Disappointed. iPhone13 Pro
To me it wasn’t made entirely clear that you would have to stick a hunk of steel to the back of your phone to make it work. By doing so you’re forgoing MagSafe charging. This would be fine for older phones without magnetic charging, but not a suitable option for newer iPhones. Its sad it doesn’t work out of the box with MagSafe iPhones as shown in my video. Missed opportunity. Will be returning as I don’t want to attach a chunk of metal on the back of my phone or forgo MagSafe charging abilities.Newer iPhone users be aware of this limitation

Exactly What I needed
I needed a sturdy magnetic holder for the my phone. Picked up one on Amazon Warehouse discount and its perfect for my needs. Phone holder sits well in the power socket, the magnets are strong enough to hold my Pixel 5, and while the charger is underpowered for a modern phone, it works well for my dashcam.
