Good Inexpensive Cable
Exactly as pictured, solid copper conductors, shielded with ground wire. I am satisfied with this purchase.Print on the outer jacket says: VERTICAL 4001453 cETLus VERIFIED CMX STP 4PR 24 AWG OUTDOOR DIRECT BURIAL (DRY) UV LSZH CAT5E 350MHz TIA/EIA-568-C.2 RoHS V1379P10373 0886FT It's my understanding that CMX rated cable it is for outdoor use but not direct burial even though it says it is on the jacket. Notice the (DRY) which is not possible underground unless maybe you live in a desert. It says it is UV protected, for where it may be exposed above ground.I am using this to go from my house to detached garage in a 100 foot run, inside PVC conduit, to an AC1750 router setup as a wireless access point. It gets the same speed as my AC1750 primary router on internet speed tests on laptop and phone and good 1080p and 4k streaming on smart TV which is all I care about anyway. You should use PVC conduit for under ground cable runs anyway, to protect it from accidental physical damage. Shielded cable protects your equipment from transient electrical charges that are very common in the ground so don't forget to also buy metal shielded RJ45 connectors to use with this otherwise the shielding does no good.As far as value goes, I don't think you will get better cable for the same price.

Shields signals from power wiring noise
I ran this underground in a conduit with single phase power wiring to a barn for a security camera. I was worried about noise, so I bought shielded cable. Distance is approx 150’ and it works great.

Appears to be a durable cable - time will tell.
The newer generation of cable appears to be durable; however, it is a little lighter than my 20 year old buried cable. Time will tell about its water resistance and durability.

Heavy duty shielded cable with solid copper twisted pairs
Good quality cable. I wanted something that I would on!y have to bury once, and be shielded from my underground electric service to my pole barn. I live in the sticks . I really doubt that my future internet speed will out grow this cable.
