Good zapper.
This works well if you can catch the flies. It's pretty loud when it zaps them. Stands well in the charger. You have to clean some of the flies out as they can get stuck in the mesh. Switch it off first though or you will get a shock.

Safe, reliable, lightweight, effective and easy to use Electric Fly Swatter
This is a must have accessory in any household in the in the spring/summer months when fly’s, mosquito’s and other flying insects start making their way into your home. I have used this swatter twice now and aside from the fact that this looks extremely elegant, feels very nice to hold, is extremely lightweight and very easy to use, it is also extremely effective at doing the job its designed to do. This swatter has a very powerful zap which, having now used on both a mosquito and a fly, killed them both instantly and effectively. Because its so lightweight and ergonomic its extremely easy to hold/swing making zapping annoying flying insects a breeze. Safety is always important and this fly squatter has double protective mesh layers to prevent fingers getting accidently touching the inner part of the swatter and getting accidently shocked. This is obviously not only useful if you have children at home but also gives you (the adult) added peace of mind when using this device. The design of this product is very clever in that aside from being a very effective fly swatter, it also provides you with the feature of actively attracting and zapping flying insects when plugged into its base and provides a beautiful night light. From the way this fly squatter looks, feels and performs, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this item to anyone who is looking to purchase a high quality and effective fly swatter.

It works, battery life poor.
Why did you choose this product over others?: 4 stars only due to battery life. I have been plagued in my home recently by hundreds of tiny gnats getting everywhere so I purchased this swatter after reading the revues. I would put this on before bed with the LED's on to attract flies. Next morning there were dozens of dead flies around the base and in the swatter. It certainly works. I've had it a couple of days now and used it today fully on with the LED's stood in the base and I'd say it only lasts on battery for maybe 2 to 2 1/2 hours before dying and needing recharge. I'm finding charging whilst switched fully on doubles the 3 hour charging rate so I'd imagine to use this throughout the day or extended periods it would need to be permanently on charge. Not disappointed but did think the batteries would last longer.

Kills them dead with a very satisfying ZAP! Great design and excellent value for money
I'm really loving this product. It is just so good for killing small flies and insects. When the unfortunate fly or other insect hits that meshed grid in the middle of the racquet, it really does get zapped and the sound is so satisfying that I can say I'm quite enjoying using this. I know it may sound mean, chasing flies around just to kill them, but this product is just doing the job it is designed for and doing it very well. You get the best of both worlds with this fly killer, and if you didn't want to be mean like me, and pick the racquet up and chase the flies around until you zap them, then you can always leave it in it's charging cradle and put the lights on, that are around the edge of the racquet, to attract the flies. I found that leaving it in the cradle works better at night, otherwise the purple lights on his just aren't bright enough to attract the flies over and above any other lights around. In the dark though, the flies go straight for this and that's the end of them! This insect zapper is designed really well, and due to them making the head nice and compact, and with a plastic frame and handle all the way around it, that makes it very light and that enables it to sit in that cradle without falling out. With it being so light it is also really easy to swing this without hurting your arms. In a nutshell, this is a great product, at a great price, that does the job effortlessly.

Excellent sporting aid
My tennis coach recommended this racket for ad-hoc training sessions and he was right. My backhand has improved, and also my reaction rate. I recommend starting on small, fast targets. Mosquitos are ideal, and you can breed your own swarms by putting a bucket of rainwater outside an open window. Once you've mastered the mozzies, you'll be ready to move up to flies. Again, it's best to breed your own colony to maximise training sessions. Take another bucket, and harvest a variety of dog faeces from the local park. Mrs. Jenkins next door suggested adding some fish guts too, but I was told to return the carp to the pond by the park warden, and have had to make do. In a little as 3 days you should have a heaving mass of maggots, which turn to flies within another few days. By leaving a trail of dog muck (or fish guts, if your warden is slower than you) between the bucket and your back door, a steady stream of flies will fill your lounge, giving you tremendous sport for weeks.
