The Best of Steve Perry

This man is an inspiration to my Mother and as someone who loves Music an inspiration to me. So when I saw there was a re-release or remaster I grabbed it and gave it to my Mom for Christmas. She is really excited and I know that his beautiful voice will bring her happiness that only Steve can bring. The song choices for this CD are perfect. I'm always looking for something new and I'm hoping he will come out soon and continue to amaze us with his incredible talent and gorgeous voice. Until then, this was a nice surprise to find.

Awesome album, you'll love it!!! Steve is beyond great! His voice cannot be matched, the feeling and emotion that he puts into his songs is beyond anything else anyone has ever done. Steve if you read this, you have to know how much your fans love you. After all this time we still love and remember you. I have to say that a lot of your songs on this album gave me major goosebumps. You truly are the voice and when I'm having stress or want to be uplifted, I listen to you. You have a God given talent, and I want to thank you for sharing with me and the rest of the world! Buy this album by Steve, it's Awesome!

BEAUTIFUL VOICE, Clear as a bell, as always! Amazing that this album is selling for so little, as "Somewhere there's Hope" is worth twice that amount. Ethereal, haunting, 3 dimensional, "Somewhere There's Hope" is up there with Pink Floyd's "Division Bell" type stuff that puts you ...elsewhere. No, that doesn't even give it justice as this is a truly emotional piece. This CD covers a wide range of Perry's styles, from old hits (like Sherry) to newer songs. Perry, like it or not, is a "crooner;" one time aesthetically sweet, another time saturated with emotion, another time rocking it out like a 70's muscle car. Nice to have it on one CD. A MUST HAVE for the Perry fan.

Despite the packaging having protective wrap inside, the case had a large crack in it, but the CD was fine.

There's really not much to say Steve says it all in his music I've never heard a man put that much of his self into any record when you listen to Steve Perry sing you hear that song coming from the depts of his soul he puts such emotion in his songs that they actually come alive and touches you from your head to the bottom of your toes his beautiful voice can do that and so much more, I suggest you buy this one and two others "Steve Perry Greatest Hit's" and "For The Love Of Strange Medicine" songs like "Anyway" You Better Wait" "Missing You" and on his Greatest hits he has "Against The Wall" Forever Right Or Wrong" "I Stand Alone" and so many others you will not go wrong buying all 3 of these cd's these are a must for die hard Steve Perry fans..

This GREAT CD includes all the great Steve Perry solo songs in his best form EVER!!! They don't call the MAN "THE VOICE" for nothing!!!! This CD also contains the track "Against the Wall" which is somewhat hard to find due to it being one of the songs slated for Steve's second solo CD that was never released due to a squabble with Sony music!!! All the expression, pitch, tone, perfectionism and professionalism is still there as in all Steve's work!! Give it a listen, you won't be sorry!!! :)

Please put more care in handling because the jewel casing has some cracks
