Cheaply made
Compared to what comes, out of the box, from the manufacturer for Netgear's Arlo cameras, these are really subpar. Plastic, not metal (so they won't withstand the sun for more than a few years) and they don't fully articulate - you sort of have to screw them down, then mount them in the position you have it which made installation cumbersome. The shaft is also not made of a metal that can withstand the elements and it began to rust after just 6 weeks. The picture is at 12 weeks. When I needed my next set, I bought the higher grade version from the manufacturer of the camera.

Cheap plastic, not durable, difficult to aim.
I'm mystified as to why these are rated so highly. They are totally cheap, plastic crap. Several problems:- You tighten the plastic collar that surrounds the metal stud in order to hold the stud tightly in one location. I wasn't happy with how wobbly the stud was, so I made it pretty tight. The plastic collar broke.- Aiming the camera requires that you move the metal stud, but moving the stud changes how tightly it's held in place. I ended up removing and reinstalling the whole bracket in order to get the right angle without the camera flopping around.Net: spend a bit more for metal mounts

The tightening mechanism is pretty strong and holds the cameras well
Decent product, works well for purpose.Pros: The screw down part to lock the threads to the camera is designed well with a rubber pad so it doesn't back off the camera housing as the camera housing is curved where the attachment hole is. The mount is plastic and fairly thick, I installed with screws and an impact drill and it only flexed a little when I tightened it down. The tightening mechanism is pretty strong and holds the cameras well.Neutrals: The mount is mostly plastic, which means it won't rust but we'll see if it'll hold up to UV exposure. Would be bad if it got brittle and cracked eventually.Cons: The metal parts look to be just zinc coated, I'm sure they'll rust soon. When tightening the part of the mount that attached to the base it becomes difficult to rotate the arm so it's hard to point the camera where you need it.Overall I would recommend this as a cheap mount. Just note the mounts that are from Netgear are all metal and feel much more sturdy but they're more expensive and they'll probably rust quickly too.

Not sturdy at all. Do not buy.
CHEAP PLASTIC JUNK. I know - For the price, what did I expect, right? Purchased these to mount two of my Arlo cameras since the Netgear mounts do not come in black and I am using black skins on my cameras. Mounted them yesterday afternoon. Noticed right away that I had to tighten them almost to the point of stripping the cheap plastic nut to hold the angel I needed. This morning I get a notification that one of my cameras has detected motion and upon logging in, realize VERY quickly that the camera has moved. I am two hours away and it looks like I am going to be forced to deactivate that camera until I can get back there to correct the problem. From what I can tell, the mount did not hold the angle and the camera has fallen to a more level position looking directly at the street. I am praying the other camera I mounted in a more important spot will hold up until I can return and replace it with a different mount. So, in a nutshell, I didn't get 24 hours out of this mount without a problem. I'm going to contact customer service and see about returning them BUT I'm fairly certain that it'll cost me almost as much to ship them back as they cost to begin with so it may not be worth it. Do yourself a favor and use a different mount for your Arlo.

I don't feel like it was a very necessary purchase after dealing with ...
I bought the arlo three camera system and an extra camera and did not feel safe using their magnetic mounts so I purchased these. Sadly, I don't feel like it was a very necessary purchase after dealing with them all day yesterday trying to mount my cameras. The screws provided with them have got to be the cheapest and softest metal I have ever encountered. They stripped way too easily and that made it hard to mount them. We ended up having to drill the holes first and then using a screw driver to insert them after messing up the first two screws on the first mount. Having to do it manually made it take much longer than it needed to.These mounts feel kind of cheap because they are lightweight plastic. We also had issues screwing on the cameras to make them secure. Two of them didn't want to screw into the bottom of the arlo for some reason. We did end up getting them all mounted and we think we have them on there secure enough. In the end they did work it just took way longer than we were expecting. Honestly, after messing around with these and arlo magnetic mounts I don't think these are any better than the magnetic ones. The magnetic mount is actually REALLY dang strong. These just worked "satisfactorily" there was nothing special about them. I recommend people just stick with the arlo mounts.

Needed to remove the stabilizer knob when plugging in solar panel
In order to plug in the micro cord; must remove stabilizer knob as it prevents the ability to plug in a micro cord. Which is especially annoying when trying to use a solar panel. Without knob the camera has come loose due to wind and winds up pointing straight down - considering getting rid of all arlo products due to bad design, performance and equipment. System goes through several buffing and disconnection errors along with pitiful night vision and intercom is a complete joke! Only by climbing up a ladder and putting an ear next to the speaker can anyone hear anything from speaker or Mic. - Not surprising that this product fails due to Arlos horrendous design placement. Arlo Pro Wire-Free Security Cameras is the worst product I have bought from internet since its inception!!

Do not use these for outdoor security system.
An indoor security cam, wall mounted gopro, or mounting anything else with the right kind of thread is fine. There are two holes for screws to go through for mounting, though I just glued a plastic plate to it and stuck it to the roof.My use is for Oculus sensor ceiling mounts, which are pretty heavy. Occasionally, I'll have to tighten the swivel back up, but it's rarish. If you're looking for a cheaper security setup for outdoor use. Don't use these. Anyone with a screwdriver will just take them off, and having your security system stolen is kinda ironic.

Buy cheap, buy twice
This is not a sturdy unit. Although it's holding my Arlo Pro camera, it is not doing so very securely. Turning the metal ball joint in the main housing is difficult and the it's even more difficult to tighten up the clamp nut. The lock nut on the threaded shaft that the camera is mounted on, cannot be tightened to hold the camera in position securely.I will be replacing this unit with something more substantial.

Fantastic Netgear Arlo Compatible mounts
I saw the official Netgear Wall Mounts which I needed due to the limited angle you get with the included magnetic mounts in the Arlo packaging. Then I noticed these mounts much cheaper for what looked like an identical product.Turns out these are of fantastic quality, sturdy fixings and it allows you to accurately secure the Arlo unit in the desired position. They were so good I bought 1 more!

Perfect
Bought these for some small Bluetooth speakers fit perfect and sturdy and huge in size that all you see is bracket and not the speaker

Poor quality
I have had these brackets for only a month or so, and they have started to rust! The tightening twist does not hold the camera in position so I have had to wedge it in position. The box in which they came also stated the brackets were made of metal! BUT they are actually plastic. I’m very disappointed with this product and would not recommend them.
