The Greatest Show on Earth???
I really enjoyed this one. A lot of reviews are negative for Flatley only being in the last 25 minutes or so. They must not know he scaled back his dancing because of physical reasons. His protege is really good, knows all the moves and doesn't miss a step.Of course it's not like it was, people get older and Flatley can't do it forever. I do think the previous Lord of the Dance Blu ray is better of course, the 3D one from 2011 I think. There's singing in this one, maybe 3 songs which I don't like. Not that the songs aren't good, but I prefer the instrumental numbers more and do also think the music is better in the 2011 Blu ray, I've seen that one 3 times now and it's really amazing. But the makeup and costumes are really fantastic in this one and they have overall improved the stage performance year after year it seems. It looks great start to finish. When Flatley comes on, he's energetic and ready to go. Wish him good health and lots of thanks for doing these. Wish I could see live!

Overall ok. Great dancing but uninspiring staging/design.
Style over substance, just some ridiculous costuming and design choices. Nothing but blondes and dark haired girls. No red heads at all in an Irish dance show!Dancing is delightful thankfully. I saw original tour in 1997 and was a competitive dancer myself for years. But this version is a disappointment for the most part..it looks artificial and silly with the robots and overdone costumes. Can we have classy over cheesey? The music changes are also meh, the vocal songs do not invoke Irish culture at all and were very boring.Overall the original staging still beats most of the newer versions. Would love to see a staging that while it may update the look doesn't go into the realm of super cheesy over done makep/costumes on everyone as well as more natural and varied hair colors on the ladies instead of the Barbie doll look.Seeing Michael dance again was fun too but will stick to the original staging and Feet of Flames with the occasional newer number.

Partial Nudity
I love the dancing as always. The story line is not much different from the original, but where it lost the most stars for me was the scene where the women dance in bras while shaking and wiggling far more than is necessary in Irish dance. I was watching this with my young boys and really could have done without that. But it’s not too surprising. Michael Flatley loves a good partially nude female dancer.

Brings Back Memories
I wish the sound was a little more natural like if I was in the theater. My mom would take the family often to see lord of the dance, so I know the sound well. Very good though, and video quality is better than I imagined. I though it would be a static camera somewhere in the room, but they get high quality close-ups and different angles. A good watch if you have never been to the show.

I loved this video of Michael Flatley's final performance with the LOD ... he's a wonderful man and such an inspiration to all. I can truly say that a new LOD has been crowned with the wonderful performance by James Keegan. WOW is this such a powerful show and such a great way to end everything. Truly a wonderful item I will treasure for a long time to come.

that was amazing. All in all
I prefer the original with the original performers, Michael Flatley throughout, the sets, the music. The performers were very talented but it was not the same, for me. I did not care for the updated version with the exception of the special effect of the hallogram of Michael Flatley appearing as three and becoming one... that was amazing. All in all, though, I prefer the orginal Lord of the Dance version.

Disappointment
Out of all his shows this one disappoints because Michael Flatley doesn't appear much and Nadine Coyle voice goes right through you not the right singer, very pleased with seller no problems.
