I love the concept of this item and was so excited to order it! It’s a couple of inches small on both ends so doesn’t cover the entire windshield but doesn’t matter. Covers all it needs to to keep it wayyy cooler than without. And using the visors keeps it in place perfectly. Thhe only reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because...just like a tent, I hate it when it comes with a case that is so freaking tight then after you take it out the very first time you can’t ever get it back in and that’s exactly how this thing is. It was all nice informed in there and then you take it out and it becomes a mess and you can never shove it back in. This wind screen does shield the car from the heat of the Sun but if you have any items attached to your dashboard, it can get caught on them or tear them off the surface if you're not careful. Also, its arms get caught easily in anything protruding. However, when you stretch it out, it does block the Sun effectively. And, it folds up easily, which is more than the normal screens do. If you're dexterous, try it out.

Structural components are pretty lightweight and flimsy. Could not get it to work with my particular dashboard configuration, used it a few times for lack of a better option, until it broke.

The umbrella style folding and unfolding is easy to use and folds down into a small compact size that I can place under my seat. When I first received it, I was not sure it would be large enough for my full size SUV. While it does not cover 100% from side to side, it covers sufficiently to provide total block shade. There are only a few inches on each side that are not covered and do not create a problem for me for coverage. As noted, this product provides virtually black out shade from the front windshield.

When I first got this I was in LOVE!! It was soooo convenient and easy to use, especially living in LA where my car is BAKING in the sun 24/7. But I’ve only had it for a short time and it’s already on its last legs. The wires started poking through the fabric almost immediately and it’s becoming less functional by the day because of it.
