Lovely
Having read the reviews I wasn't sure. My daughter likes drawing and we love fantasy. This book is lovely quality it is a nice size. There is 173 pages of ideas. Ideas you can pick and incorporate in your own drawing. The type of art work is like the front cover but there are less animated ideas too.... Lovely book and I am happy.

Lovely little book full of good advice
I admit, i love books on art techniques. This little book is a decent guide to fantasy art, all you need to know with no fluff. If you are starting out, start here. Its a good spring board to developing your style and good advice. It doesnt need to be complex and this isnt. Great for students.

Includes everything you need
Normally I'm not the biggest fan of how to draw books because I find they are too specific. This one does have tutorials for individual characters but the way it walks you through the steps is really useful and can be applyed to most other drawings. overall I think this book has tons of great information that's delivered in a compact and easy to understand way.

Very happy with my purchase.
Bought the book as I have been looking into getting back into art and as a keen D&D player this book jumped out to me and the price was good enough to give it a go.The book is neatly laid out and the content is fantastic. From colour theory, portrait and anatomy to character design. I can see this as a resource that I will keep coming back to in the future. Also as a bonus the publisher seems to promise to plant a tree for each book sold which is a nice bonus (provided they follow through, but I'd like to think they will)Overall this book is great, it however won't make you a photo-realistic fantasy artist but it points you in the right direction with clear and concise examples and tips.Very happy with my purchase.

Over all ok.
Im a compleatly new to art out side of drawing stick men, so i bought this book as a guide because i liked the art style.Early on it gives a breef overview on the equiptment you will need and some basic reasons why, it also gives the basic consepts for drawing the head and other parts of the body. Its also writed in an easy to swallow package; There were some images that did help me visualise the basic concepts.Given the nature of how freely expressive art is ment to be i found some of the step by step guides to be a little vage and struggled to comprehend it all at first, but overall its a useful book when combined with YouTube tutorials.
