Effective sound dampening
This is a pack of 12 black foam tiles for sticking on the walls of doors of your intended space, it comes with some thick, sticky double sided tape to stick them with and they come completely vacuum packed fr ease of delivery. You have to cut open the vacuum bags and leave these tiles spaced out separately and not stacked for a few hours. They will be totally flat initially but most puff up on their own, a day i've got a few that are flatter but i'll be leaving those longer to puff up or try the hair dryer method since I don't have a tumble dryer. These stick well to the wall and door of my home studio, I wanted these to reduce treble and dampen the sound, these won't reduce sound so to speak but for example if you have a drum kit with cymbals, they take the harshness of that sound away to make it more easy on the ears and reduce the shrillness. They deaden sound and are very effective and are exactly what I needed. You can position these around the room strategically to change the sound as needed.I'm using these with another colour tile and have chequered them alternating colours and they look great.Very effective, you just need to be patient with the foam expanding, like a foam mattress! Recommended, great pack of tiles.

take a while to expand naturally and the smell can be annoying
The initial thing with these panels is that they arrive compressed so you need to unpack them and allow them to regain their normal dimensionsThis can take a couple of days. The other thing is the smell I found to linger for ages.Make sure you do that in a room that's got suitable ventilation as I found it pretty strong and even now it still emanatesthese will let you lessen the sound echoing and bouncing around the room to some extent

Don't expect too much.
These are really something for home use, to either deaden echo in a home studio or reduce the noise in a gamer's room, but you really aren't going to be able to soundproof a room with them. They arrive vacuum packed and need about 24 hours unwrapped to puff back up, and come with double sided reusable tape to mount them to the wall: They can be mounted in a chequerboard pattern with the lines going at 90 degrees to each other, which looks good. And in truth I think looking good is their main purpose: I'm no sound engineer, but I have been in studios, and real sound baffling is a bit more elaborate than some thin foam panels. But it might have some effect, and they do give a professional look to a room.

They work well, eventually
These sheets of foam arrive vacuum packed and really compressed. Quite disappointing for the price. You get a roll of gel tape in the pack for affixing to a wall/ceiling.You have to leave the foam for at least two days for it to expand to the proper density. I followed the advice of another reviewer to dampen one and wring it out/tumble dry it, which sped the process up but leaving them a few days works well.Once expanded the foam is quite a light density and absorbs sound really well. It's not cheap to cover a whole room, but just one wall (or the bare parts you can see) certainly deadens echoes, the difference akin to having wallpaper and carpet as opposed to wooden floors and bare plaster.

Good Value Pack Compared to Some
These won;t cancel out noise completely but they will help soften it if all grouped together in a suitable space. On that front would recommend them - but you need to let them air fully and fill out to their true size but leaving them out for a while, preferably somewhere warm and then they;re pretty decent and thick. But you also need to air them for a while as they have a fairly strong glue/fishy smell to them initially! It does go though and they're actually better than some much more expensive ones we brought from Amazon earlier this year so would recommend.

Decent acoustic panels
Got these panels for my sister who plays drums and thought they would help suppress the noise we can hear when she plays them. They definitely absorb the sound and overall reduce the noise that passes through the room. They aren't incredible though as I can still hear most of the noise, but considering the price I would say they do a decent job.Adhesion could be a little better though, as they don't provide the strongest of adhesion.4/5
