I didn't know I needed these until I had them!
At first I thought electric salt and pepper grinders were silly. But once I got this, I saw the light. Literally! There's a tiny LED light at the end so you can see your pepper flakes better! I will never go back to manually grinding pepper again. It's so fun to just press a little button and have the pepper come out. I feel like i'm in the future and I'm a very fancy hostess. You have to put 4 AA batteries in each (that's a lot). The directions don't talk about the LED light and at first I thought mine didn't work. You have to line up these little loops with the metal circuit of the LED light to work. The LED light COULD be brighter. Like, if you could use these as a flashlight or even a maglight for self defense, how great would that be?

Not sturdy enough for Himalayan Rock Salt
Worked great for 7 months. then the rock salt grinder quit working. I transferred the salt to the pepper grinder. The salt is harder than the pepper. I expect it will also wear out soon. Too bad. Better to just order the cheapest models because the salt is too hard for the plastic mechanism inside.

It's better than what I had
I was hoping for "inDUSTrial" grinding. It's better than what I had, but still sort of wimpy. also the packaging indicated there should have been some spare parts included and they were not. It's crazy that you buy Himalayan salt in a grinder and you have to throw it away because it is not refillable. This set is easy to re-fill.

it gets the job done
fair...works fine but slow. The size of the pepper is adjustable but not the speed.It came with a plastic holder to put the set in on the table that I appreciate. It handles easyand looks attractive.
