I was a little hesitant after reading a couple other reviews stating the candy seemed old but everything we tried was delicious! I have never in my life eaten soft Dots but the ones in this box were perfect! We gave this to our grandfather and he a had a great time going through all the candy and talking about different memories associated with them! Like which stores sold it, how much it cost, and even that he wasn’t allowed certain candies and would sneak off to get them! Fantastic gift and conversation item!

The recipient saw the picture and was so excited to see the black licorice pipe but there was none in the box. Recipient also said much of candy was too old to eat, very hard.Woodstock said they were replacing the 1937 box of candy over a week ago and it still has not been received by the recipient.

What do you get a person when she is turning 80-years-old? This package was a fun surprise and something she nevered dreamed of getting - all the candy was not fro 1937 but from the years she was growing up. It was a fun to hear her say, "I remember these!" Great, fun gift!

My sister, the recepient of the 1937 gift box was very happy with it and its contents which brought back many happy memories of going to the candy store with a penny and then had to choose what to spend it on.
