Trane Condenser Fan Motor 1/5 HP MOT3420 MOT03420

We tried a motor that a shop told us would replace the original. The wiring was wrong and could have caused issues. I suggested to my husband that we find an actual Trane motor. This one arrived very quickly and is exactly the model we needed. It is an exact replacement. The fan has been working well ever since.

I’ve got two XL 1200 units, bought this motor in 2018 as a spare, just installed it 12/14/2020, so easy to install and runs so quite just ordered another for back up it matched exactly as item described in ad unlike another seller who showed a picture of motor like this but when I received it was a cheaper 1/4 hp motor with 3 wire.

Just received and installed with a new Capacitor runs smooth and quiet old motor bearings were bad and would sound like a scarred cat u till you tapped it and the RPMS on tach meter had the old motor running between 680 and 760. The new motor RPMS BETWEEN 830 and 840 at high don't know the low speed because outside temp is 97 degrees today.

Old motor started making noise from bearings or something going out. Ordered this as a replacement. Shaft length was slightly shorter but long enough to get the fan placed at the same depth. Easy swap, plugs were right, and works great.

It was a perfect fit for my outside American Standard unit. Took longer to run the cables (I left the old cable in place and pulled the new ones through with it) than to actually replace the motor. Great product, would buy again.

This was an exact replacement part on my Trane XL1200 3 ton AC. Having the identical wiring color, made it easy to install. The fan blade needed a push to start turning; I wasn't sure if the motor or the starter capacitor was bad, so I ordered both. I did turn off the power first before installation.

Replaced the old motor on my XE-1200 A/C, smooth, low noise, works very well.
