Saniflo Descaler
Seemed to work OK. Impossible to tell as Saniflo systems are sealed, one way flow systems.Cost is somewhat high for this proprietary descaler. However one does not want to screw up a Saniflo system given the trouble that would be involved in replacing or repairing one! Will continue to buy it

It really does work to help stop the macerator from constantly running.
My Saniflo is 9 years old and was having the same problems as other have stated. I would flush the toilet and the macerator would continue to run for a very long period of time. Sometimes I would have to flush the toilet several times in order for it to finally stop. I thought that some sort of float was getting stuck and I would sometimes tap the pump with my foot to try and get it to stop. After a while tapping it with my foot just didn't work anymore. So I went on Amazon to see what the price of a new pump was. I was shocked to see that the pump units were over $700. While looking at the Sanilflo pumps I came across this descaler.I purchased the Saniflo Descaler after reading other positive reviews here on Amazon.I was a bit skeptical but followed the instructions on the bottle. I thought I may need to do it twice like others have stated in their reviews. I waited 24 hours and turned the pump back on and flushed the toilet. The toilet seemed to run perfect. It did not run long and everything has worked perfectly. It has now been two months since I used the descaler and I am happy to announce that the Saniflo unit has worked perfectly every time. I highly recommend you look into using a descaler especially if your macerator seems to be running for too long or not shutting off.

Descales my macerator
I have hard water where I live in PA so I use this once a quarter to keep my Sani-Flo flowing nicely. It really does work. Ours stopped working and I had no idea why. I called the plumber and he told me to use this product to see if it was just build-up. He was correct and it saved me a ton of money. Good product.

Maintain your Throne!
Good idea to maintain your electric toilet! It cleans inside- around the mechanism, where build up can cause problems- so, I recommend descaling at least once a year. This big 1.2 gal will do 2 excellent cleanings. So, enough for 2 years. I let it sit in the toilet for 8 hrs, as per instructions, and it's done! Easy pesy!

If Your Saniflo has Seized up, Try This
In June my Saniflo had seized and after several days of plugging unplugging hoping it would work I had given up and was bracing myself for the purchase/installation of a new one. Then I came across this and read some of the reviews of how this had fixed others issues like mine.I figured I only have $60.00 to lose (I see there are even cheaper options now.) I bought some and poured half a bottle down my sink after unplugging the unit. I let it set for about 24 hours, held my breath and plugged it back in, only to hear the sad sound of it still being locked. I unplugged and poured more down the drain, waited another 24 and still nothing.I had resigned myself to the ~$1,000 I was going to have to spend so the next day I started looking on Amazon to purchase the new unit. Wanting to make sure I got the right one, I went to take pictures of the unit. With one last ditch effort I decided to plug it back in and to my relieved surprise it actually worked!I ran water into the shower to try to flush it out and to make sure it would continue to work and it did. I poured the rest of the descaler in and let it set overnight and again flushed it all out the next day.For the next two weeks I put nothing but liquid in the unit. I am now in Sept and it is still working fine. I have since bought more of this product and will use it every six months as described to try to keep this from happening again.I whole heartedly endorse this product. If you have a seized Saniflo unit try this before giving up and be patient with it. It may take a few days for it to work its magic.
