ThorogoodInfinity FD Series 7” Waterproof Hunting and Hiking Boots for Men with Full-Grain Leather, Moisture-Wicking Lining, and Anti-Fatigue Traction Outsole

Looked high and low for a decent fitting boot to replace Salomon Quest 4D GTX. Started wearing those in 2014, work and play and everyday use. Hiking, working, everything. Wore out a pair about 1X per year. Around 2017 or so, they released their Quest 4D GTX 2. Totally changed boot, would not fit, too narrow. Called customer service, asked for an alternative. They pointed me to their "forces" line of the same boot, they were still made on the old "wider" pattern. Purchased and yep, they were the same old boot. Then they changed the forces lineup to version 2, same narrow cut. NO GO.On to the Thorogood Infinity- As I looked for decent replacements, I ordered countless different brands, never happy with the fit or quality of them. Found these and tried them, since they are available in WIDE sizes. In the old Solomon, I wore a size 12. Ordered 12 WIDE in the Thorogoods, wonderful fit. Lots of toe room, nice lace locks at ankle, good thick laces. I ordered the 7" tall ones, about the same height as the Salomons. 2 hook-type eyelets above the lace locks. tongue has nice soft leather that seals up all the way to the top. (Not a shoe-ologist so not sure what that is called). Initially, I had 2 impressions just wearing them around the house 1) Seemed like they pitched forward a bit, like a taller heal. 2) Seemed like a bit of a lack of arch support. I have not noticed the forward pitch one bit since wearing them daily for the past couple weeks working on concrete, shop environment. No issues with arch support, either. I kept the inserts that were factory Thorogood and no problems. I do have arch pain when my old Salomon's got wore out, the soles smooshed down and the heel got flat, Probably why I felt these Thorogoods had a bit of a higher heel initially. Also, the Thorogoods have a full leather construction(as far as I can tell) on the part that shows below your pant cuff. This allows grinding and some welding, whereas the old Salomon got burn holes at the first sight of a bit of weld splatter.All in all, I am very satisfied with these Thorogood boots. I barely ever write a review, so... I am 49, 6' tall, 220 lbs, and don't much care what they cost, just need a boot that will hold up to daily use, not make my feet hurt, and not look like part of a clown outfit. I'm a believer, and these were a steal on Amazon, my size was marked down to $110 or so.. I almost did not buy because they were too cheap. Will buy again when the time comes. Maybe I should buy a few....

I wear a size 11 in all my shoes, I ordered an 11 wide and the fit was great, they are comfortable right out of the box, haven’t had them long enough to tell about durability, but I’m gonna guess they will be an excellent boot!

I have wide feet, a lot of times I wear a 4E. Wolverine wellingtons in 10.5 Wide fit me perfectly, I was hoping these would also. They are just too narrow, however they are great looking boots. If you do not have ridiculously wide feet, they would work well.

First off I'll say these boots are really comfortable out of the box, pretty much already broken in. But within a week the bottoms started "chunking" off. And after a month my feet started hurting bad. I have now had these boots about a year and they are at the end of there life. I'm only wrighting this review because of the good reviews I saw that made me choose to buy and maybe can help someone out by wrighting an honest review.

Wear very well. Feet no longer hurt with these boots!

Should’ve went a half size larger, but there working ok! Hope they don’t shrink! I’ve had them a couple weeks now & they feel nice, no blisters, like your cheaper boots. There a lot more expensive then I’m used to pay for boots, but there made very well! Nice grip.

I have wide feet and these fit awesome. They keep my feet warm and dry
