Product as described and very satisfactory
Received the product without any issues. The hearts of palm were fresh and were used in a lasagna recipe to replace pasta. Those that tried it enjoyed it.

Healthy Pasta Alternative That Tastes Good
The Nature’s Greatest Foods Organic Hearts of Palm is a plant-based substitute for pasta that is quick and easy to prepare. We have only had heart of palm on the salad bar, so were not aware of how versatile it is. We used it to make a quick side dish with our homemade pan tomato sauce, and the taste and texture was very good. Lasagna is next on the menu. The directions recommend rinsing and heating in a pan before adding sauce, and that did work to remove the excess water before cooking with the sauce. All in all, we are pleasantly surprised and pleased to have a healthy pasta alternative that tastes good and checks all the boxes for clean eating.

Not a noodle alternative remotely, think of it as bamboo shoots
3 stars is based in large part on the price of $60 for the required purchase of 12 unites at $5 per jar. It isn't 2 stars because I will just use it as though it's bamboo shoots and have some purposes with it and stir fry. However, it's a huge disappointment as a noodle alternative. No noodle whatsoever has the mouth feel of this product, it does bend a bit, but chewing on it you get bits and crunches, very much like bamboo shoots, which I've found regardless of cooking it in pasta and sauce for a fairly long amount of time. It bends a bit differently, but that is about it.As far as health goes, yes, a jar is 80 calories, no fat, a nice amount of iron, and it's low on carbs in the sense you are getting fiber, but you are also getting SODIUM. One jar has 52% of the recommended daily intake of sodium.Sustainability: It states it is organic but I don't know if that means it is wild or not. When the heart of palm is extracted it kills the tree, and in the wild this wrecks havoc on the environment, although on a farm would be acceptable.Overall, I do not recommend this to anyone as a noodle alternative but mostly as a substitute for bamboo shoots.

Very Good
This is very good hearts of palm. They are not overly salty. I rinsed them well, put them in a nonstick fry pan with a generous glug of olive oil, garlic, sliced tomatoes, black olives, tuna, oregano, chili flakes & a handful of raisins. I cooked it for about 15 minutes, sprinkled Parmesan cheese & had dinner! It was delicious. The hearts of palm mimic pasta but you know they are not pasta – still very satisfying. All 12 glass jars arrived in perfect condition. They are packed fairly well with cardboard between each bottle. I would buy these again – they make a fast, simple & nutritious meal.Product of Ecuador

Yum!
I have been eating gluten-free for years, but it seems like good pasta alternatives can be hard to find. They are either flavorless or filled with ingredients that are not healthy and do not keep me full. This pasta, made from hearts of Palm, really fits the bill for a good pasta alternative - it tastes good and is relatively healthy! The jars are a decent size and are high-quality. Not one of them burst during shipping - they are well-packaged and made to last. I drained and rinsed the noodles before cooking, as suggested, and then put them in a pan before the sauce to absorb excess water. The noodles cooked great. They aren't too chewy at all once cooked, like some GF pastas can be. They also had a good flavor - not overly salty, but more flavor than just a regular GF noodle.I haven't tried them yet in a lasagna dish, but paired with sauce and meat, they are delicious! I know I will have plenty of opportunities to try them as lasagna since I have 11 other jars. They are a bit expensive, but it's worth it to me to pay more for the high-quality, good flavor, and overall impressiveness. I definitely recommend these to others and will look at purchasing these again once I get through the case.

This surprised me at how good it it
Organic Spaghetti Hearts of Palm by Nature’s Greatest FoodsI was very surprised at how much I liked this spaghetti alternative. I wanted to try it but had my doubts. Well doubts go away, I loved the dish I made. I started by draining and rinsing the strands of palm. After getting most of the water out I poured them into a pan. I added marinara sauce, crushed red pepper flakes and heated them up. When the were near fully heated, I did it on low to not burn them, I added Parmesan cheese (I’m not Vegan) to finish it. Then I plated my portion and added a little more of the Parm to complete it. Oh my, this was like an al dente pasta but it wasn’t. I was enjoying this so much it almost fooled me but I made it.If you are looking to cut the carbs this can be a delicious alternative that you may totally have not known about. I sure didn’t and now I’m enjoying my supply a palm noodles. I highly recommend these, yum.
