Here's how I use these to the maximum effect Use a flexible putty knife and heat it with a heat gun (hair dryer works too) once hot you melt the color matched filstik to the putty knife and wipe it on to the damaged area. Warm the putty knife again and pass over the area to remove excess. Repeat till satisfaction, sometimes I smear a little bit of stain pen to mimick the color then I spray satin clear over the area so it all shines the same.

A: Not really, this is used to fill the scratch with the correct color. You might try the Mohawk color markers that should be able to color the wood filler or remove the wood filler and use the fill stick. Hope this helped.
