This infuser works well for herbal teas but at first there were some confusing aspects. I learned that it is easiest to place the tea in the bottom and set the metal filter on top-BUT don't try to force the filter to sit level, its a pain to get it to sit flush...instead screw on the lid down and the filter will even itself out/sit flush. I also learned that you need to really push the button down until it actually CLICKS. This lets the liquid flow much faster than simply pressing in the button like on a Contigo Autoseal. The first few days I couldn't figure out why i had to suck the liquid out think you just lightly press the button like a Contigo Autoseal.So far i am impressed that there are no leaks and the double layer plastic handles heat quite well (although it will not retain heat for long like a normal travel mug). Also, i can see finer tea leaves seeping through the metal filter and clogging the lid/ getting drank... the holes are much larger than your standard mesh tea ball. Overall you can't beat this for $8 but don't expect the quality of a Contigo Autoseal.

I drink a lot of loose-leaf tea, and I purchased this bottle to use at work. Although the product is specifically labeled for use with tea, the infuser has holes so large that some of my finer-cut tea varieties fit through the holes and I end up drinking the leaves anyway. When refilling the bottle you have to be careful not to get any liquid in the screw threads for the cap because any water there will drip out, no matter how tightly you screw on the top. After using the bottle for about a month I accidentally dropped it and the outer layer for thermal insulation broke off. Due to where it broke the bottle is still usable, but I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to do so because there are three different cracks developing in the inner layer of the bottle.

This is my new favorite bottle. It is super useful and the double walls make it so I can bring hot beverages with me. I'm used to using mason jars but they get so hot and don't keep my drink warm the way that this does. I have a glass one as well but I'm always worried that it will break. I love that I can throw this in my bag with whatever I'm drinking when I leave the house. Also, I always want to drink infused water but the execution can be difficult- with this bottle its s easy to throw fruit or cucumbers in your water and just throw in your bag.I love this bottle so much I plan to buy another. Highly reccommend!

Update: after about 3 months of several times per day use, the inner lining cracked and grody looking water collected between the layers. I had to toss it out. I thought it might have been because I put it in the top shelf of the dishwasher, but I see others have had the same problem. Still it's a nice design just needs more durable materials.***I am really enjoying this infuser. Recently got tired of coffee and began enjoying herbal teas more. This infuser is so handy for carrying around the house, or outside to meetings or events. Doesn't leak, won't break as easily as glass, comfortable to sip. I am getting better hydrated these days, good flavor and no sugar.The infuser basket isn't great for the steeping. It sits at the top of the cup and doesn't steep thoroughly, even if you pour water to the top (which then slops out when you screw on the lid). I tried it once and gave up.Since I'm using only herbs and fruit, I just put them in the bottom and leave them there. The basket filters the leaves out of what I sip. This might not work with black tea if you want to limit the steeping time. For me, I just keep pouring in more water and occasionally more herb. A couple lemon slices last all day (I'm not picky here).The shape is comfortable for my small hand and easy to slip inside a bag. Even when full, not too heavy to carry around. Sleek design is not bad to look at either.

Mine has been working great for hot and cold beverages. I have noticed a small crack at the top and now it is leaking. Time to get a new one. 😕

I am sipping my detox tea out of this wonderful infusing cup as I type. It is lightweight, sturdy, convenient and easy to use. My tea is piping hot after having been steeped for over 15 minutes! Highly recommend this product. I may even order one for my mom! Cant beat the price!

Love this. Gave it as a gift and the person also enjoys their tea.

Very cheaply made. The tea leaf compartment can easily break and doesn't fit snuggly into the bottle. Would not recommend purchasing.
