I had a major leak from original 17 year-old third brake light on my 2004 F150. It was either the light or the window. Thankfully the light is easy to check- two screws. Sure enough the seal had gone bad and so had the plastic, especially around the screw holes/mounts.This light is a great replacement. It required no wiring of any kind. You simply remove the original lightbulbs and plug the new light’s three wires into the respective light sockets. It does matter which way so if it doesn’t work, just flip it (meaning pos/neg).The included seal seems good enough. Time will tell.The light is not bright at all, especially in the day (my bike safety light is brighter) and the other reviews about the poor bed lighting are accurate. In fact, there seems to be no thought as to the location of the LEDs - they just are there.But for me this works. I needed a 3rd brake light to be compliant with local laws and I needed to not have water pour into my cab.

There were no instructions, but easy enough to figure out. After about 4 days, the cargo light on passenger side quit working.
