Incredible sound
I have used many location recorders, own a couple too. I wanted to get a new one and came across the Tula mic. Read reviews, listened to audio comparisons and decided to try it out. I'm very impressed, it is without doubt the best sounding microphone I've used. You do lose some functionality when comparing to Zoom and other location recorders but in all honesty I've never used the extra functions on my zoom, so I'm not really bothered as all I want is a top notch microphone to record interviews etc. Simple to use, a beautiful design, high quality insides and amazing audio, what a fantastic product! Highly recommended

This is a great product, superb quality and very easy to use.
I record sounds for making samples in electronic pieces. This mic makes this so easy, no need to set up mics/cables and totally portable. The noise reduction is amazing and the mic quality superb. Both cardioid and omni. Files transferred to computer via USB and it can be used as a mic for zoom etc to avoid scratchy sound from laptops.Huge capacity and battery time. It's well worth the money in my opinion. I'm happy with mono because I'm recording spot sounds or single voices.

Perhaps the only portable high quality condenser USB microphone.
Overall a beautifully designed thing. Great microphone, noticeably better quality (noise floor and sound) than a RODE lavalier mic when it fits the use in the physical situation.Plenty of onboard gain and low noise floor at standard levels of gain. I haven't yet found a better portable solution for good quality audio capture. But it is much better raised to mouth level, while the built in desk stand is nice the nearer your mouth the better, so suggest it needs a mic stand and the adapter mount that comes with it for any serious applications.I don't really need it to be an audio recorder, I can use my phone, PC or other devices for that. I would much prefer it to have an LCD display of some sort to show the status of the various settings. One real negative is the cable, hence 4*, it seems too cheap and thin and I immediately needed to replace it with a better quality one. With the supplied cable audio playback to headphones had crackles and noise - suggests either poor shielding or not enough power getting to the device. Anyway luckily I had spare usb-c to usb-a cable and this fixed it.Noise cancelling works for live streaming, but it does degrade the audio and if you are recording better to do this in post I suspect, it is good therefore that it stores both raw and nc files. Also would be good to know in advance that the headphone port is not just for monitoring but also lets you listen to PC sound out. It is not clear in the online material. For anyone commuting between home and office and needing to work online in both this could be a great single solution for both environments.

Fantastic warm portable microphone
I love this mic. I've worked in broadcasting for 25 years and while you can paper over a lot of cracks with software these days, it still matters what you use to capture sound. This mic has a lovely warm studio tone and I use mine either plugged directly into an ipad (you have to use the apple usb-c cable for this to work, but it does work with the ipad mini) or on the go. It's battery lasts for ages and it has plenty of storage. Its features and versitility are amazing for such a small portable device. While I do have ZOOM recorders, I find I use the Tula for anything involving voice because voices just sound better when you do. It is 100% metal, which makes it very hardy, but also means it picks up any handling noise. It's also susceptible to plosives and wind noise, so I recommend getting the deadcat for it which Tula sell and also the case they have available. You don't need the case, but I found I was using the mic so much in the field that it made sense to eventually get one. If you're used to using ZOOM mics, you might miss the meters etc, but if you're recording voices, I totally recommend the Tula, they just sound better.

Perfect portable mono-only mic..
Great mic when used at nine inches / 6 inches / 3 inches ..as the closer it's used (in normal 'cardioid' mode) the greater the bass-boosting 'proximity effect', so it sounds really 'full' and dense. At greater distances, or in 'omni-directional' mode, it sounds average or 'thin'.It's a MONO mic, so it doesn't record - with its built-in recording capability, or via USB - in STEREO. But it's great for voice, or a single instrument, such as close-mic'ing acoustic guitar, bass, sax, etc. (For stereo, you'd use instead, say, a Zoom H2, H6, H8 recorder, which have built-in, or add-on, STEREO mics.)Good points:+ really TINY (mono only) audio recorder!+ really 'solid' sound - when used close+ easy firmware updates via computer downloads & USB cable+ 1-button-press learns & removes steady background noise+ green LED confirms optimum record level+ real-time delay-free monitoring thro' earphone socket+ firmware update gives 2nd mic input via 3.5mm TRRS headphone socketNot so good points:- no visually settable repeatable recording level ..no knobs- can need 'pop screen' for close voicing (only $10, available online)- internally recorded files only erasable when connected via USB- no LCD for battery-check, etc

Superb product
There is no better portable microphone on the market. I've tried most all of them. At this price point there is no close second. For that matter, triple the price point and you're not going to find an equal to the Tula. Amazing sound. Beautifully designed and durable in its construction. (Yeah, I've even dropped it a couple of times.)Their website has everything you need for troubleshooting and the company representatives are easily accessible by email. Can't say enough good about this little piece of elegance. Thanks, Tula.

Excellentes Mikro!

Foncez.
