The bags aren't bad if you're using them on small-round trashcans, but it's no good for rectangular ones. It barely fit my 3 gallon round trashcan and my 3 gallon rectangular one has an awkward fit where half the sides of the bag sit inside the trashcan when it's full and the other half is barely draping over the rim.I use these for my cat's used litter and it doesn't hold up very well. They're not as thick, stretchy, or durable as they make it seem. There's very little give to them. Half the time I'm ripping holes in these bags when I try to pull the bag out of the trashcan. I have a hard time tying off the trash after it's full because of the design.If you're using these bags for light trash like tissue, paper, plastic bottles, etc, then these bags would more than suffice. It's very hard to beat the value of these garbage bags. However, if you're using it for heavy items like glass bottles (or for cat litter,) then it might not have the strength to hold up and not rip.

Accepted HOMMALY 4 GALLON TRASH CAN LINERS as replacement for AMAZON branded liners and regret it. The HOMMALY LINERS have only one thing going for it, when compared with the AMAZON LINERS; and that is the nice, neat rolls that are packed in an attractive box. Possibly good for retailers, but that's the least important thing I'm looking for in a TRASH CAN LINER.The main reason for buying the AMAZON LINERS rather than nationally advertised brands is their lack of added fragrance. GLAD LINERS, for example, have such a strong, perfumed odor that I found myself having to set a newly lined basket outside for fresh air to help fade the overpowering odor. After one too many headaches from heavily perfumed GLAD TRASH CAN LINERS, I subscribed (and saved) to AMAZON 4 GALLON TRASH CAN LINERS for their lack of fragrance. The AMAZON 4 GALLON LINERS have been useful for lining any 1 to 4 gallon wastebaskets and cans in nearly every room of the house.Until the HOMMILY 4 GALLON TRASH CAN LINERS arrived, with its 5 compact rolls in an attractive box, I hadn't thought about how the single roll of AMAZON LINERS is packaged. Or, rather, that it comes in only a clear plastic bag - one less box to throw away.What I have appreciated about the AMAZON LINERS is how, even the thinner of available options are stronger than smelly GLAD BAGS. Definitely stronger than the HOMMILY LINERS I just received. Perhaps contributing to their strength, AMAZON LINERS are extremely flexible and easily stretch over the tops of small baskets that are a bit wide. Also, it's easy to stretch out the top of a full liner to form a couple of flaps to tie the bag closed.HOMMALY 4 GALLON TRASH CAN LINERS are not nearly as strong as GLAD or AMAZON liners. They do not stretch over the top of small, 1½ - 2 gallon baskets that happen to have a wide opening. I do blame AMAZON for recommending HOMMALY LINERS as a suitable replacement for their own liners.I know this is a lot to say on the topic of TRASH CAN LINERS; but I sincerely hope to keep others from making the same mistake when buying an everyday item. I do want to say that I use GLAD FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS as well as GLAD QT. & GAL. FREEZER and SANDWICH & SNACK BAGS. I use and recommend GLAD and HEFTY 30 GALLON GARBAGE BAGS. Thankfully, AMAZON 4 GALLON LINERS are back in stock and on their way.There are just 27 days left in Amazon's return window to find a use for FLIMSY 4 GALLON TRASH CAN LINERS. Any suggestions?

I was looking for a 4-gallon size plastic bag for scooping my cat's litter box. I wanted something STRONG. My cat urinates a lot, producing large clumps of litter each day. Seriously, I scoop out around three pounds of cement-like clods each day. I needed a bag which would fit into a standard mop pail (which I use instead of a bathroom wastebasket). These fit the pail perfectly, and were very economical. Previously I bought some 4-gallon bags from Target, but these were not cost effective and were not as sturdy as these Hommaly bags. I was afraid these would be flimsy, but so glad I purchased them. Now I can keep my cat's box clean without worrying about the bag splitting open on the way to the garbage can. Very pleased.

The product works well with odder and fits my personal needs. I like its coming with rolls that are easy to pull one bag at a time off. They take much less shelf space than one-at-a-time dispensers. It seems to have some reduction of electrostatic cling in the winter, which is nice. It is good enough that I have not seriously about looking for something better,4 gallon works for me. Twist tying it up works and can be be untied and retied multiple times. I expect to keep using them for a long time.

This is at least the second time I have ordered these. I use them outside my house as well as inside. They always pull loose along the bottom at the perforations, so there is no problem separating them. (An issue with my doggy bags -- sometimes they are not scored enough and I have to cut them apart with scissors. Difficult when you are out walking the dog.) They have not leaked or torn no matter what I throw away.
