Apparently, Beauty Is Only Skin Deep.I love the look and feel of the knife.I was going to buy the complete set. The knife cuts, but it's anything but sharp. The most dangerous knife is a dull knife.I have about 30 Japanese style knivesMost made in china, out of the box sharper.I guess I will have to spend $500 and buy the real deal, A Japanese, knife made in Japan.

Beautiful, like all of the Tuo knives! Very light and easy to use.

The overall weight is very light. It is not the best steel and has a hard time keeping an edge. If you plan on only using this knife occasionally at home it is very aesthetically pleasing but wouldn’t ‘cut’ it in a professional kitchen.

Used for the first time today. Absolutely stunning,visually and technically. The big cutlery manufacturers should be afraid and take note of Tuo. Near perfect blade,I would pay triple for this nakiri. Congratulations to the design team that paid attention to the working Chef's needs and attention to detail. Thank you Tuo!

Veggies don't stand a chance eith this knife. Sharp and accurate, plus a knife blade cover, this was worth ever dollar. I am a pleased chef!

Let me start by saying i am a professional chef for 28yrs.This is a pretty knife with a cool look and actually fairly functional but is a bit on the cheap side.Paid 70 bucks for a large chefs knife so that is a bargain. And it feels itOn the upside. It came sharp and retained an edge fairly well.On the downside the blade stock is a bit too thin for its size and after heavy use in a comercial kitchen, the handle is starting to show some play, insert sad face here.The black coating on the blade has held up well for the past few months.I would say this is a nice gift for a home chef not looking to push its limits

The knife does not cut smooth and straight and tends to wonder off at an angle. Depresses and crushes soft breads during cutting. Definitely not a fine cutting instrument. I expected much better from the website description. Comes in a very nice box, though.

I am a sushi chef. Javanese cuisine need variety knife for very specific reasons.I purchased this knife for just cutting sushi rolls which is most easiest duty in Japanese cuisine.I am well awarded this is cheap knife.not that much expectation for cheap knife.But!still!This is just what cheap knife is.That's it.Super not recommended to professional users.Household grade knife for sure.If I didn't sharpen knife with my sharpening stone myself.i would return this knife.And also Just realized All good reviews are from free product received users.

I'm giving it 1 star for the simple reason that, it claims to be professional usage knife. After peeling 50 lbs of potatoes the knife was slightly dull. I honed it's edge it was good for another 450lbs of potatoes after.but not the blade is entirely dull and need a complete sharpening. The blade cru e makes it difficult for standard sharpening. Not a hard enough steel for real professional usage. However I would give it 5star for home use. It's a great little knife.

It's different with the black. Definitely sleek look and sharp!Loved the added sheath with it to protect your knife during travel.It is sharp out of the box and came through fulfillment quickly through Amazon.TUO has shown me time and time again that their brand is worth buying. Will continue to buy these knives as a gift or to spoil myself.

I used it for 3 days. It was good when I first used it, prettty sharp. But today, when I use it, the knife blade is loose from the handle. Then I shake the handle, I can feel the blade have some play with the handle, they are not connected securely. Returning this knife.

This product is very small in height. It looks a lot bigger in picture then it is in real life. It is 2 inches in height approximately. Very disappointed in this but it is very nice looking and the case it came in as well is nice looking.
