Didn't last six months! And I didn't even use it that often! Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. A product like this should last at least 2 years with everyday use, and longer if not used every day. DO NOT BUY!!

It broke within a month, the internal power connector is pretty bad.It was fantastic while it worked - but i wouldn't recommend it. Sorry.

This ionic hair straightening brush works much better than I was expecting it to, based on things my friends had to say about comparable store bought options. I think this one is better quality than the ones that they were getting. It has a few different temperature settings depending on your hair needs. I have fairly short hair at the time because I donated over 10 inches of what used to be long hair. Having short hair it is slightly more difficult to hold the ends at the back which is what helped make the front a lot straighter. I think with a little longer hair or more time, I would have been easier to get the as straight as the front. I am very happy with my purchase and how well this worked. The unit took a few tries before getting used to, once I saw how large the ceramic plates were, at first I only felt that it would benefit my hair type (thinner, less coarse) by using the ionic feature, so I did that at first and the feature seemed to work well.. but once I tried the heat function a few times, I became more comfortable using the wand, and I was able to modify the “instructions” and use it to the best of my comfort (for example, my thinner trestles made it more likely for me to turn the wand upside-down and straighten my hair that way (the wand plates were too thick to grab my hair closer toward the crown).. but the most benefit from using it came right after washing/blow-drying/styling my hair and then giving it a once over with the wand, it really helped my hair stay shiny and give it a “blow-out” look. I also at first tried it on a lower setting, but a higher setting was optimal for my hair type to keep it shiny. I used the glove a few times, but after the first attempt, I didn’t have any issues using the highest heat setting, and styling my hair without the glove (although, I wouldn’t recommend a novice trying that!). The unit itself was comfortable to hold, not too heavy, and the white cord was nice, so I could easily identify plugging/un-plugging it (compared to my other appliances plugged in!). I think the unit is best for someone with thicker hair, but it still did a great job on my thinner hair.On the not-so-good side... the manual needs work. It's poorly translated and lacks examples or tips for best results. Also, when I turn off the unit it still makes a snapping sound as if it were still on so I would strongly recommend unplugging it when you're done, and there should be a warning in the manual. The only other minor negative is that it's a bit on the large size so it takes up quite a lot of counter space -- a holder would be nice.Still, a good product that works well even on my thin hair. I have been wanting to try one of these forever now. They look totally cool. Once I received it I had to open it and try it out. First I wasn't expecting it to be so heavy. Then I was also expecting to be able to just basically brush my hair and this straighten my hair. I have fine thin hair so it worked Just not as well as I was expecting it to, it didn't straighten my hair as well as my actual straightener as the heat doesn't get hot enough I still had to section my hair like I do with my straightener. So there was no saving time like I had hoped. I will try it again maybe there is a technique I haven't tried or found yet.I received this item free in return for my honest unbiased review

This is the first hair straightening brush that I have ever tried. My hair is very thick, course, and curly. I have always used hair straighteners to achieve the style of hair that I prefer, so I thought I would give this a try.The package comes with the straightening brush, a heat glove, and a user guide. The brush itself is very straightforward and easy to use. There are just two buttons with a digital display. After powering on the brush, you select the temperature you prefer. There are four different settings, so you can pick the temperature you need for your personal hair type. You can also turn ionic on or off.I ended up using the highest setting. The brush gets hot very quickly. The temperature you select will flash on the screen until it has reached that temperature, and then it will stay consistent. The brush did straighten my hair, but it took many more passes than my hair straightener. I also had to use much smaller sections of hair, which made the process far more time consuming. I have afro hair and this really did the job of straightening right down to the roots - too straight in fact! The unit is well made however the only draw back was that when in use the temperature control buttons can accidentally be adjusted without meaning to but this is not really a problem. Arrived the same day and without any fuss.
