Favorite knife ever
I can't say that I'm a knife fanatic, but have owed a few, some big some small. I love the blade shape. The back spine of the blade is its full thickness for nearly two inches of the blade, which makes pushing it with your thumb comfortable. This also makes for a stiffer stronger blade. The knife comes razor sharp, and sharpens easy and sharp. The black paint on the blade chips and scratches off easy (a con for many, but a plus for me, as I like my equipment to have a beat up used look). The body of the knife, though made entirely of some kind of plastic, is very stiff. Compared to my Benchmade Pardue 530(similar weight and size) it is much stiffer and feels much stronger. I'm always amazed at how solid this knife feels despite it very low weight. The tan color blends in well with many of my hiking shorts and pants. The lock feels very solid and doesn't allow any wiggling of the blade. It does take two hands to close it, but so far that has not bothered me at all. This is definitely my favorite knife, and do recommend it to all my friends. It will be birthday presents for many of them. A great price too.

Super Sick For Every Day Carry
If you are like me, then you like to get a lot of value out of the knives you buy. Daddy Warbucks, I am not. So, I tend to stay away from the Sebenzas and Bradleys. Heck, even Benchmade is steep for a folding knife.Enter -- The Ka-Bar Dozier. A lot of knife, for a little bit of money. The Zytel handle is lightweight, and seems to be very strong. When the knife is open, it is possible to get a little flex out of the handle. Nothing to worry about, however. I got the Coyote Brown, which is really cool. The knife comes in many different colors, and I will probably buy a couple more in different colors. The blade is razor sharp. It passes both the paper test (easily slices a sheet of paper) and the hair on the arm test (yup! - it left a bald spot as it easily took the hair off). I think you could perform surgery with this knife. The knife only weighs 2 ounces -- You barely know you're carrying it.Despite the love, there are some things that could be improved.* It's not a true ambi knife. The lefties out there will have to use a hex screwdriver to reverse the knife's polarity (clip and thumbstud). I'm right-handed, so it worked for me right out of the box.* The lanyard loop and the clip are on the same end of the knife. This means that the clip doesn't allow for super-deep pocket carry.* Opening with the thumb stud is a bit stiff. This might loosen up in time. This can be manually adjusted, so it's no big deal. It's also available with a thumb notch, if you prefer that to the thumbstud.* With other thumbstud folders, I am able to get some leverage by planting my index finger on the fat part of the pocket-clip as I flex the thumbstud with my thumb. This knife is reversed from the ideal, so that isn't an option. This knife is a BUY.

Nice little EDC folder
I needed a small little knife for my pocket for every day use. I didnt want to go out and drop 100 bucks on a nice benchmade because if I was to loose it, I would be heartbroken. The knife I carried before was too bulky and I sometimes couldnt get my hand in my pocket due to the knife. Did a little looking around and decided upon this little KA-BAR, and normally I stay away from KA-BAR. I have to say, im impressed. It has a nice little blade on it and it is so thin I hardly feel it in my pocket. There is NO blade play whatsoever. The edge is pretty tough and edge retention is pretty nice, especially to be a stainless steel. I have used this to pop off child safety covers on Bic lighters with no problems. The pocket clip is nice and secure and this thing is nice and slim, but still fits nicely in my medium sized hands. What can I say? I love this little knife and would recommend it to anyone who needs a nice little folding knife for EDC. This little thing rocks. My only complaints are that the coating on it is crap and chipped the first time I used it, and that the thumb stud can be slightly awkward to get used too.

Excellent Value
If you want a good pocket knife w/o breaking the bank, buy this knife. I always carried the $5 knives you see at tool shops, and they've worked well for me, so paying $20 + was a step up. Totally worth it! Came with a decent edge, but I took it to my 1200 Japanese synthetic knife hone, then followed with my 5 K JAP hone, then removed the burr that formed from my honing using a 4 sided pasted leather strop starting on the black compound, then white compound, finishing up with green (extra fine) compound. Only then was this knife truly razor sharpFor me and what I use a pocket knife for, I can't see paying a lot of money for a knife. It's not that I'm cheap but I can use a knife like this and it will do everything I want of it, and more. We have horses so I need a knife to cut the baling twine used to hold the baled hay together, so natch, this knife does that well, and we go through a lot of bagged seed that is bagged using a paper/plastic film, and before I bought this knife, I used a box cutter to open those bags (I open one a day on average), but since I got this knife and put a razor sharp edge on it, I don't use the box cutter any longer, this knife's blade has more than enough quality in design and material, to put and hold a good sharp edge, which my $5 knives couldn't. I can slice into one side of a 40 lb. bag of seed (at the top), then the other side, slicing the top clean off, like it wasn't there, and this blade holds that nice sharp edge. Really, I just can't see spending anymore for a knife than what I have into this one, for what I use this knife to do

Buen filo
