I ordered this to keep aboard my sailboat. The navigational lights, cabin lights, fresh water pump, bilge pump, and other systems aboard the boat are powered by a bank of 12V deep cycle batteries. While the boat has an inboard diesel auxiliary engine that is capable of charging the batteries, there are times we go weeks without running the engine because, after all, it is a sailboat.Unfortunately, that means the batteries can be run down quite a bit-- even the dedicated starter battery that is not connected to anything but the engine will discharge over time just from sitting in the summer heat.Having this mini jump starter means I don't have to worry about whether I have enough battery charge to start my engine should I need it. I can charge this up at the beginning of the sailing season in April and then just keep it aboard as a last resort should it be needed, only needing to recharge it once per sailing season if I haven't used it as it keeps its charge for at least three months.It can also charge my cell phone, charge the tablet I use for on the water navigation, charge my e-reader device, charge my cordless VHF, and charge my handheld search light. And it is good for multiple charges of each of those things.Having said that, I try to avoid using this to charge cell phones, etc. because I want to keep its power in reserve to start the engine in an emergency should the battery bank be run down too low. But if the engine is already running, then I can use this to recharge something up on deck and then take it back down below to recharge it from an inverter powered by the engine.All of which means I no longer need to worry about a dead battery in the boat. I received a discount on my purchase of this in exchange for agreeing to test it out and post my honest review of it. It works really well, comes in a zip-up binder with every conceivable connector you could ever need for it (including Lightning and micro-USB charging cables), and just generally seems to be very well made. It works exactly as expected and, somewhat to my surprise, remains cool to the touch whether it is being charged or it is charging something else. I have recommended this to friends with boats and plan to buy one (at full price) as a gift for my father-in-law who has killed his SUV's battery more than once while leaving a door open and the overhead dome light on.

I've not had cause to use the unit to restart my car (thankfully). I didn't quite understand the instructions as they are a bit Spartan. However, everything that was stated as included was, in fact, included.

Everything is pro about this item. It works as it is advertised and I believe everyone should have this in their vehicle. More than enough power. Jumped my car (did test) in seconds. Wall charger is great. That's a step up from the other brand that I have. One of the best features is, it turns itself off if there is no power load detected.The carrying case is awesome too!
