This little device is amazing! I was losing my passion for vinyl records, after buying new and old...and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. I use a simple sprayed solution and felt covered hand-held cleaner, plus a carbon fiber brush for the stylus. I replaced the stylus and, very soon, the quality of sound returned to awful. One morning, the sun shined through the window at just the right angle. With a magnifying glass and tweezers, I pulled a tiny, twisted fiber from around the stylus. I thought that my troubles were over, but that was not the case. The Hudson UV stylus cleaner, though, quickly removed crud that I could not see. My records sound like new, again! I am all-in for Hudson products, now. My vinyl collection is 1000+ and I buy every week. I might have quit, if it were not for this simple and effective device. Thank you!

I didn’t take a scientific approach like looking at the stylus with electronic microscope to compare before and after pictures. However, just from playing the records post cleaning, it seems like there’s less surface noise, which is likely the result of a cleaner stylus. Operating is pretty straightforward and easy. It doesn’t seem particularly well made; it had that cheap plastic feel to it, so it may be slightly overpriced, but so is everything associated with turntables and records these days. Overall, happy with the purchase. It seems to offer an effective and controlled approach for getting the stylus squeaky clean every time.

This does the same job as my 30 year old Sumiko, so at it’s very reasonable price, highly recommended!No need to agonize over it, or spend three or four times more for one, as it does the same thing.

I was honestly surprised at how hard it was to find something like this. most stylus cleaners that I seemed to come across were either a gel type gunk that you dip your needle in? or just a simple dry brush?this is amazing. you put a drop of the solution on the pad, turn it on, and let the needle sit on the vibrations for about 10-15 seconds. it takes up minimal space and I’ve started using it every Sunday to make sure my record listening sessions are always top qualitythere’s no question that there is a difference between before and after. this stylus cleaner is for sure at the top of my list for anyone beginning or looking to improve their vinyl experience

My product packaging was missing its cleaning solution for some reason. I phoned the company, but my only option was to leave a message. I also went to the company's website and used an email address to contact them. I am delighted to report they sent me a complete kit. They are obviously a small company, but they want to ensure each customer is satisfied. Moreover, the product does a superb job of cleaning the stylus, and removing static charge that attracts dust. The only other product similar to this costs five times as much. I intend to buy some other products from Hudson Hi-Fi in the future.

Well took the unit out of the box added the battery and when turned on it cleaned my first stylus. What I noticed was the little light that's to illuminate the process and make it easy to see didn't. Well It's half working !

I have been using Hudson Hi-Fi's bubble gel and brushing before trying out the ultrasonic cleaner. The gel does a pretty good job but it seems the ultrasonic gives the stylus an extra deep clean. I looked at my stylus before cleaning and after with magnification. I can see a good, crisp and clean diamond tip. I believe it removes more than the gel alone and is very easy to use. Considering the cost of this unit vs the next available at $150, this is a great deal.One thing I did encounter with the fluid.. the carbon fiber brush pad the stylus sits on, the fluid does not go into the brush on it's own. At first I thought once I started the unit up and placed the stylus on it, the fluid would dissipate. That did not happen and I noticed a blob of liquid on my stylus. I had to push any remaining liquid into the brush pad and do the cleaning again. Since after, I make sure to dab the cleaning fluid into the pad and it has not happened again.
