Does exactly what its supposed to do.
After many years, the dimmers on both of my halogen light floor lamps gave out. The company that manufactured the dimmers no longer had a similar product for sale, so I began looking on Amazon for something comparable. There was quite a disparity in price, with some units going for close to $50. I don't believe there were any reviews of this item at the time, but I decided to take a chance and order a pair.Well, the two dimmers came pretty quickly. I took them out of their plastic wrapping, which was particularly easy, as the top of the packages didn't seem to be sealed (don't know if this was intentional or not). Plugged both units into electrical outlets, connected a lamp to each and turned them on. Perfect! No buzzing sound, lights were completely off in the minimum position, and what else can I say? They've continued to work perfectly for the last month or so. Pretty good, since we were contemplating buying new lamps before my wife discovered it was the dimmers that were the problem.

600 Watt Dimmer, Great Unit!
I purchased one of these 600 Watt dimmers to dim (as well as cut power usage) our inside roping, wreath, and Christmas Tree lights It worked so well that I have since purchased 6 more. Great buy for the money. My only reservation would be not to push it up to 600 watts. The unit gets a little warm, and I would be afraid to leave the house with one pushed to the max. I have now put one in each room, dimming the window candles and other Christmas lights in every room. I give this product a 5 star rating!

Essential for Film/Video Productions
Excellent product that held up to an intense shoot. Great way to dim practical lights like table lamps, or china balls or even tungsten fresnels under 600 watts. My one big gripe is that the female receiver is only for a two prong plug, are you serious?! So we have to use a 2 prong to 3 prong converter to plug in grounded lights. Kind of an obnoxious weakness but I suppose it was probably in the description and I missed it. I’ve just been spoiled with my larger Impact 1,000watt dimmer. But the price is right for what it is so I would recommend it.

Did not work, so was returned. I found one locally from a lamp store. It cost more, but was of high quality and worked.

Compact, Light Weight Foot Switch
Somewhat difficult to operate with a foot because the switch is light and slides on a smooth floor when operating the slider, wouldn't be a problem on a carpeted floor. Has a good dimming range and turns light completely off at lowest setting. This switch is illuminated from inside the housing, which helps locate it in the dark.

Nice dimmer switch
This was a replacement for a table lamp's dimmer. It works fine, does what it is supposed to do and no installation needed. Just plugged it in. Much better than the first 2 that I had which burned out.

Worked great... until it didn't
I've bought three of these dimmers and all three stopped working before the year was up. It's rated for 600W and we're pushing it right to the limit so it's possible it might work just fine for something lower.
