PEN KIT MALL - 10 ASSORTED ACRYLIC PEN BLANKS FOR PEN TURNING - Assorted colors & Designs - 5/8 X 5/8 X 5

I am an experienced turner using carbide gouges and two of the five blanks I’ve cut have broken. The blanks are probably the most brittle I’ve worked with…if you can get the blank rounded without breaking, they make a nice looking pen. They sand and polish very well. While this is a variety pack, I received two solid black, one solid blue and one solid white…I expected more variety. This is my first experience with Pen Kit Mall, I’ll probably go back to sources I’ve used previously and pay a little more to get a better product.

The colors in the picture are much better than we received. We got solid colors without much variation. Update. Every single pen I turned with this chipped away. Stay away from this.

Aweful smell to them when turning if you can even get them to turn i'm using fresh carbide tips and going as shallow and slow as humanly possible and they either chip or disintegrate on the lathe

Beautiful blanks in appearance. Problem is that they are very brittle in comparison to other acrylic blanks I've used. So far I have attempted to use two of the blanks. One cracked while drilling out and the other blew out on the lathe. They're cheap for a reason.
