Flexes properly and heals faster!!!
I purchased this after having used 3 other products about my plantar faciatis. I have been in pain since last January and inexplicably I just woke up one morning and was in excruciating pain. Long story short it took me a long time to understand what it even was. Stretching on it's own did not help and I wasn't about to have shots or surgery!!! The clunky very sturdy boot with a ton of straps was not only hard to put on but hard to sleep in. The futuro one while very well made and soft all around kept sliding and not flexing enough. And an other one I used Dorsal something looked like the Futuro but was less well made and kept rubbing on the top part of my ankle. One thing all those 3 didn't have and this awesome product has is that extra flex of the big toe!!! Who knew. I have been an athlete in all my teenage years and I knew all about stretching and its importance,so this powerful sock is it. While it may seem uncomfortable to keep your feet so flexed and the toe up but you can move your toes in it and curl them if you feel a numbness there. The Velcros need some fiddling with and perhaps cut them to size if you wish. By keeping the big toe up you get maximum flex and the muscle gets bigger giving you ample room to heal.I have wore it for 5 nights and i see serious improvement after all these months thinking I would have to live with this pain. I also must add that I used it during the day also If I knew I would watch a show on tv and I would be stationary for a couple of hours That way i gave it more flex time than just the sleep time. Today 6 days or so later I have hope of full recovery.

Seems to be Helping So Far!
Like many others who have submitted reviews, I have plantar fasciitis. I had PF in my left foot about 10 years ago, and it persisted for two years. I ended up with custom orthotics and gel heel inserts. Also, I exercised my foot with a roller-type apparatus. When I noticed pain in my right foot (despite wearing orthotics in both shoes), I immediately started exercises and applying ice to ward it off. Unfortunately this did not work. After two months of this, I got my first cortisone shot which helped for about 5 weeks. I got my second cortisone shot a few days ago. Initially, I tried a night splint and found it extremely uncomfortable to the point that I couldn't sleep with it on. I then tried this night sock which is much more comfortable than a splint or boot. When you try multiple remedies, it's difficult to know what us helping. Basically, that's why my doctor said that you have to do it all! I do think this sock helps alleviate some of the pain. The only "con" that I've found is having to release the strap when getting up throughout the night to use the bathroom. You simply cannot walk in this sock. However, it's easy to redo it when going back to bed. I recommend this as one of several things to do to alleviate heel pain.

Great idea! Was recommended this and believe me it ...
Great idea! Was recommended this and believe me it gives a nice stretch. You have to make sure you strap it correctly, if not, you'll be waking up in the middle of the night. Trial and error will help to reach that happy medium. I just got this last night and before I went to bed put them on. First thing in the morning when I took them off, I felt no pain! I've been up since 7 am and it's passed 6 pm and still not pain. At the same time, I'm wearing orthodicts designed for low arches and a heel gel. They all are playing a role, but this product did well with stretching my plantar fascia. I also recommend getting a toe stretcher. Good in theory but in my case not in practice - painful toes!
Good quality product - however only tested for about 4 hours total. The idea is great but not successfully applicable to my feet, specifically my toes. The material presses on the tips of my toes like as if I was pressing the tips of my toes onto a wall. So every 10 minutes or so after the first hour I had to readjust my toes in the socks. Finally almost at the 4th hour the pain of the material pressing up on the tips of my toes was so unbearable I had to take them off, claim a return/refund and order a toeless version of a night splint.

Disappointing. Design needs improvement.
This sock did not work out for two reasons:1) It started falling apart after three (3!) nights of wearing it. In that time, about half of the the stitching came out where the strap attaches to the toe of the sock. One more night, and it was almost all out. I did some sewing and reinforcing with heavy thread. I only wore the sock to sleep in, and I'm not one to thrash about during sleep or do anything else that would put unusual strain on that seam, so I can only imagine it was poorly sewn in the first place. The way the sock works, that seam does take a lot of stress, so it needs to be a heavily reinforced seam, which it was not.2) It isn't comfortable and actually caused temporary injury to my foot. In theory, the strap pulls up on the front of the foot and keeps your foot perpendicular (or at whatever angle you choose) to your leg. But in reality, the strap pulls up on your toes first and foremost and they flex at the joint. Your foot does end up more or less at the angle you want, which feels great, but I found the strain on my toe bones and ligaments, and a little too much stretch on the bottoms of my toes, to be too much. It caused some discomfort before sleep every night, I woke up in pain in the middle of the night on at least one occasion, and the day that I experienced shooting pain through my toes and upper foot in the middle the day -- hours after taking the sock off -- that was the day I quit.I really wanted this sock to work. The sock itself is really comfortable and soft and breaths well. (Oh, except for the strap that goes around your leg at the top which dug into my skin.) But it needs a redesign so that the ankle is the only joint getting engaged. If the strap could somehow pull up from the ball of the foot, so that the toes can just lie naturally, that might do it. Or if you kept the strap at the toe but inserted a hard solid surface under the entire foot that prevented the toes from being engaged, that could work. Oh well; maybe in the future.

description is accurate, and it helps!
fast shipping. as described. 2 nights in, foot feeling better already, especially in the morning. 1st night I woke with a discomfort, loosened toe tether, all good. next night was a full nights rest. simply flex my foot up, tighten tether a bit loose, and go to sleep. would recommend this product. been struggling with plantar fasciitis for 1.5 yrs. so far I am able to notice a difference in the right direction!

Hmmmmm
Don't know if it the injury or the item but when wearing this i get woken up in the night with awful pain in my leg. Item appears to really keep it too rigid so you don't get too relaxed. It didn't fix my leg issue. I would not recommend.

Helps but Hurts
Pros-Helps with heel and foot pain-Fits well and is adjustable-Top bands fits holds better then expected-An hour of use seems to really help with painCons-It really does hurt your toes (specifically the big toe)-Weird complaint but the Velcro is so loud that when your toe starts hurting in the night you will wake up someone beside you when you take it off.I have learned to use this mostly when relaxing in bed before going to sleep or taking a short nap in bed as the pain is too much for a whole night.
