Kulaton Pencil Sharpener Battery Operated

Basic, but durable, pencil sharpener. Better than most electronic pencil sharpeners. Has plenty of power to get the job done. No jam-ups or bog-downs. Easy to get that perfect point without several tries. One and done. Easy to pop open and empty so you can get on with more sharpening of more pencils. Easy to blow out shavings in the blade mechanism. Just an all around good quality sharpener. I recommend it to anyone.

In order for it to work well, you have to have a decent pencil (probably the case for all sharpeners). The cheap kids pencils that never quite sharpen have the same problem with this sharpener -- in fact, it chews right through them until you just have a stump with no led. However, decent pencils do just fine. I do think it chews through pencils faster than some other sharpeners. Since there's no indication that it is sharp, it is easy to over-sharpen because it works really fast. For my purposes, that isn't a bit deal. I want a quick, easy way to sharpen my kids' pencils for homework, and this does the trick and didn't cost a ton, so I'm satisfied.One tip -- Make sure to hold the sharpener in the trash can when you open it to empty. The first time, I held it *over* the trash instead of *in* the trash, and my gentle force to open the sharpener resulted in a spray of pencil shavings everywhere.

Tends to break off the tip of coloured pencils. Sharpener works well, but has a flaw, it's hard to grip the pencil while it's being sharpened. There is nothing built I to the sharpener to stop the pencil from from rotating in your fingers.

Nice little cheap sharpener. A little rough running (but that's expected for the price) and only takes regular pencils, not slightly thicker ones, but makes one hell of a point. Very slim profile, takes up little space on the desk and is very unobtrusive, easy to tuck in between books on a shelf.

Updated review. They sent me a brand new one that worked great and refund. Great customer service!Sent to me with the bottom piece missing to hold the batteries. Can't work without it. Have to wait now to send it back and get a refund and purchase another one again.

not very powerful, ended up not working after only a few months. Splurge and get an electric one

This pencil sharpener is great and so powerful for it to be so small. Be sure to hold sharpener will sharpening pencil. Other than that, no complaints.

Neat and convenient desk tool. I write a lot and having this sharpener handy keeps me going without much interruption!
