Unbelievably good for the money
I don't claim to be an audiophile, but I try a lot of different brands of both in-ear, and over the ear headphones. My sampling has included over the ear brands from $19-$150, and while I realize that this is still considered low end, there are still some surprisingly good ones in this range. I originally bought a pair of these about 4 years ago on a black Friday deal for about $39. I didn't expect much, but when the ear pads finally wore out, I tried replacing them with what I thought had to be better, more expensive brands. Nothing I tried came close enough to equal these for under $150 (on sale, btw). So if you can find a pair of these for under $100, I really think you'll be pleased with the sound quality. My preference is an overall quality that represents the music without over-emphasizing the bass end- these have a great balance & a rich sound all across the board.

Bad Ear Pads
Ear cushions fell apart without a lot of use, and the coating on the head bar all come off. A big mess. Stiff cable wasn't all that great - bump it, and you will hear the sound.

Very good overall; comfortable ear pads will need replacing at some point.
These won't show up as a verified purchase from me, but I did buy them from Amazon... sort of. I got both a pair in white and in black from Woot several years ago. In my opinion, the sound is absolutely amazing... deep bass and clear highs, and the large ear cushions were very comfortable.I take off two stars because, although the ear pads were soft and comfortable, they didn't last all that long - mine deteriorated to the point where they were leaving little black bits all over the place - around my ears and on my neck. There is no good suitable replacement from the manufacturer, as far as I can tell. After some searching, though, I found these: [...]. They are perfect replacements. However, the headband, while also nicely padded, are deteriorating, too, and I have no idea how to fix that. They are quite large - a bit on the heavy side, but adjustable and comfortable nonetheless. I was very unhappy when the pads deteriorated, but the replacements I found work, and they are still going strong after several years. Also, the cord is quite a bit longer than typical, which is really nice - we used them for TV, too, and could sit on the couch without any extension - they are about 10 feet long, and fairly heavy duty.

Good sound but needs some QC
Review from Hubby. Sound quality (for what I paid) is superb. I managed to get these things for under $20.Pros -1) Sound quality is good. 4 out of 5 stars. Read others reviews to see their takes. Although I found these acceptable stock.2) Large ear muffs cover most ears (exactly what I wanted/needed). I work in a Data Center around large XEROX printers (like you see at Kinkos) and they can get loud. These things let me watch HULU while at work. Reduces all but the loudest of sounds down to barely noticeable background levels (I havent tested with a talking wife in the room).3) Labeled as gaming headphones but they have @ a 12' cable. Who walks 12' from their PC? --- Console/TV usage diff story see con below ...Cons -1) The faux leather that covers the cushioning on the head band started falling apart after a month. Could be my fault. Headphones get left in my car at night sometimes since I use them at work quite a bit. It does get cold in my garage. TBH though I prefer the cotton padding that was hidden underneath.2) Just a con due to my usage ... the cable is only @ 12'. They are labeled as gaming headphones. Individuals with disposable income may have a room/tv set up too large. My living room with my console/tv is 18'. Easily fixed. Radio Shack carries a 20' headphone extension cable for @ $15. BestBuys longest is 6'I would give it 4.5 stars but for 2 things. A - not possible on Amazon. B - the headband kind of irks me even though I like the cotton padding better than the faux leather.Amazon needs a better (more in depth) ranking system.Value : 5/5 - Again I got these for @ $20Construction : 4/5 - stupid headband or I would say 4.5Comfort : 5/5 as someone else said you can wear these things for HOURS.

Amazing, especially for the price...
I freely admit I am not an audiophile. I have some minor hearing loss from the military. I was set on buying a $300-$400 pair for music listening when I mentioned it in conversation to my friend who teaches music. He encouraged me to try these out. I am so glad I did. They have great range - music is crystal clear. They are very comfortable, and there is a nice, thick and long cable that is apparently not going to get bound up like regular ear bud cables will. I'm sure the more expensive headphones are going to be "better" somehow to those who are really nitpicky, but if you want a really good set for a pretty cheap price, hit these up. I'll be surprised if you aren't happy.

great sound but crappy pads
sounds great just like i hoped, but the ear pads were crappy one if totally flattened out and wont regain original shape and the coating over the top headband shed off

Decent product
The sound quality is good and volume is outstanding. It cancels out some of the external noises. However, the headset itself is large and quite heavy. It squeezes your head and there is no comfortable way to wear it. Next complaint is the cable which hard to manage (also no volume control). After using this headset for a week, I went back to my Steelsound 5H v2.
