This is one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 novella!** Contains adult language; 🔥 and steamy adult intimate scenes with a six and half foot tall dirty-talking, alpha male who is dominant, enjoys giving spankings for pleasure, and foot rubs after a long day, as well as 🔥 and sweaty wood chopping scenes if that is your thing. There is insta-lust and almost insta-love. **The story universe is surprisingly well developed and I didn’t have any issues picturing the cabin, woods, Jake or Vivian. There are a few grammatical issues including incorrect punctuation, extra inserted words, transposed words and missing words. All in all, nothing that was difficult to interpret. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow and visualization.In this story, Vivian lives in the city, but just needs to get away from a dead-end relationship and unplug from her job for a week. So she decides to take a week in the mountains and do exactly that. Vivian lets the ‘boyfriend’ know it is over, calls her boss and packs a bag.Five years ago, Jake was in a serious relationship, or at least he thought he had found his forever love, when he caught her in bed with his now ex-best friend. He decided he had enough of the rat race and backstabbing untrustworthy people. Jake sold everything, informed his family how to get ahold of him if needed, and left for the forest.He started work as a lumberjack and two years ago purchased his land and built a small cabin. Jake doesn’t have much to do with anyone, just goes to work, come home, takes care of his own needs, sleeps and repeats everything the next day. Sure he misses women sometimes, but all it takes is a thought about what happened and that cures that want real fast.Vivian arrives to her cabin and unloads her car. She decides to immediately go for a walk, so she throws some water and granola bars into a backpack and starts walking down the trails around the cabin.Fast forward a couple of hours and it is starting to get dark. Vivian is horribly lost and finally starts to see some light up and ahead. She comes across a cabin in the woods and it appears a very large man lives there. Should she chance approaching his cabin? What if he is an axe murderer? Does she even have a choice? Vivian doesn’t want to spend the night in the woods, so she chances it and knocks on the door.Jake hears someone and wonders who it could possibly be at his door, as he hardly ever has visitors. Maybe someone from work needs something. At the last second, he decides it is better to be safe than sorry, so he grabs his axe off the hook by the door and opens it … Bam he is hit by intense physical attraction … did he tell you red is his favorite color?I have followed Jenika Snow for a while now, but I don’t believe I have actually taken the time to read one of her stories, but I can tell you going forward that will not be the case!Anytime I am in the mood for something a little rough and 🔥, she will be one I will go to. I have added some of her series to my TBR list and will be working through her titles still on KU.

Short quick to the point lots of smutt but nicely done and not so much. Sweet and simple love story.

She’s been increasingly unhappy with her life so a week’s vacation up in a mountain cabin is just what she needs. Maybe a hike as soon as she got there was a little too spontaneous but she’s excited to be in the peaceful woods. Only she got turned around and is hopelessly lost. With a big storm on the horizon, she finally spots a cabin with the biggest man she’s ever seen. He offers her safety but can she trust him?“I’m about to claim every single part of you. I’m about to own every inch of you. And when I’m done with you, Vivian, you’ll know exactly what it’s like to be with a real man.”Vivian is every fantasy Jake has ever had. I loved the epilogues most of all with such a sweet look into their future. I think that was my favorite part of all. I looked through the rest of this series and there are several that interest me. The next one is called Virgin. Much later in the series, I saw another Mountain Man book which is what I am looking for at the moment. You should definitely check out this series. I am positive at least some of the books will grab your interest.

Sweet short story that I could have continued reading, easy flowing read that keeps you gripped, the chemistry between Jake and Vib is there from when there eyes first meet, definitely a must if you are looking for a short easy read.

I enjoyed it, two born city people betrayed by the city find each other in a heavy sex trapped in a storm encounter. They decide they love each other can't keep their hands off one another.Short, sweet, simple. I liked it.There were a few spelling errors, missing words, or not the right words in some places. But that was only when I was closing in on the end.

Was in the mood for a quick, dirty read...and this was it!Was great. I would have loved if this had been a full length though, seeing what happened more in depth in between.But if you want quick and dirty like I did, then this is your book!

If you want a hot, sexy happily ever after book that's short and sweet, this is the book for you. Be prepared for lots of sex though. Good story, really liked the two epilogue's a nice touch.

I adore everything Jenika writes and this book is no exception it's a short, sweet and very sexy story. I read it in one sitting,no way was I moving until I had finished it, I really recommend this book you won't be disappointed.
