Easy to use. No more mess! A must have.
Works great! Very simple to just screw this in and then the oil comes out the end of the tube. The only thing I did was to cut the tube to make a "stub" of a few inches. I felt that the tube was too long. The machined part that screws in seems to be well made and should last a lifetime.I maintain all of my vehicles and do everything myself. Been doing this for 25 plus years. Don't have access to a tire machine/balancer anymore, but used to do my own tire installations as well. In 25 years, I have changed the oil and filter many times. It was pretty simple. Drain the oil then remove the screw-on oil filter then replace. Now Toyota has this new oil filter system that is now a pain in the butt to change. Was very messy before this tool. Oil got all over the floor. Not any more since using this tool. It is still much more time consuming and more required cleaning of the Toyota's many parts that make up this new oil filtration system. You should have plenty of brake cleaner for this! I am disappointed with Toyota's decision to use this system. I do understand that it uses no metal, so no metal being wasted like on the old style screw on filters. It is more work to change so people will more likely have their oil changed by Toyota or other garages. I say watch some youtube videos and change your own oil! I buy oil filters by the case for all of my long term vehicles. If you have purchased the Assenmacher Specialty Tools TOY 640 Oil Filter Socket Wrench for Toyota/Lexus, you should buy this too. For about 30 bucks, this tool will make oil changes easier! Well worth it in my opinion. If this review helped you at all, please click that it was helpful.

Update February 1st, 2015: I did another oil change on my 2007 Tundra and this tool is awesome. When replacing your oil filter you need to drain the oil filter housing before removing the actual oil filter. This process is extremely messy and difficult to do with the plastic drain valve that comes with the oil filter kit. This tool allows for easy drainage and no mess. The tool screws right into oil filter housing and allows you to direct the hose into your catch basin...........I would also recommend a few other tools that help:1) Assenmacher Toyota Oil Funnel2) Fumoto Drain Valve with nipple & 1/2" outer diameter clear hose3) Custom Tundra Oil FIlter tool (google this and you'll see the tool im talking about)

Deceptive picture.
I purchased this item because theother brand I was going to buy was unavailable. The other brand has a metal fitting and the one pictured in this item is also metal, although it was priced $5 more. When I recieved the item the fitting was plastic. I contacted Amazon and they were good about replacing the first one. I recieved the second one and it too was plastic. Very disappointed. I am sure it will work but not sure about durability. I would be willing to pay $15 or so for the one I recieved but not the $30 they charge for it.Edit: When I called Amazon to return item they said that they were going to take this item off the site and contact the manufacturer about sending out plastic ones even though the picture is a metal one. I guess Amazon doesn't mind people being deceived.

Works as advertised
This thing is worth it if you change your own oil and don't want to get oil all over your hands draining the filter. The hose is a little long, but that can easily be trimmed and is better than being too short.

Item is not as pictured. The one I received was made entirely of plastic and not metal as the picture shows. The plastic part is not worth the selling price. This is unfortunately the first time I've received a product that was not even close to the product picture. Even the product photo on the package shows a metal valve release screw.

Worked great on 2007 Lexus GS350. Not a required tool, but helpful
Do you absolutely need this tool, no. Most oil filters come with a plastic nozzle that lets you drain the oil around the oil filter. it doesn't come out fast, and there's only like 1/4 quart of oil in there. However, this is easier than using the plastic ones as it screws in and you control precisely where the oil goes. If you plan on changing Toyota/Lexus oil for several years, it's a worthwhile investment. I will probably cut the hose in half as the length is too long for what I need.

Great fit and function
Great fit and function. Makes my oil changes much easier (2016 Toyota Tundra CM). Only complaint is they come wound up like a hose and are very difficult to straighten out so you kind of have to hod it with 2 hands when the oil is draining but overall, I would recommend this product.

Plastic
Have not gotten to use it yet and I assume it will work but I'm annoyed that its plastic and not metal as pictured. It seems well built and solid plastic but even the package it came in showed it as metal. I don't feel like I got what I paid for and this plastic is not worth over $30. I feel ripped off.
