One possible solution
It is wire, it does what it's supposed to do. It is actually a simple workaround or solution to mod/upgrade situation that very well could be quite common; I got this as a possible solution but turned out using another option, but this is good to have for next time something similar/same comes up.

Hard to find part that works for NUC. Connected my SSD drive & been in constant use w/ no issues.
