I was worried it wouldn’t work but it did.
I installed this bad boy in my 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic and it started right up. After using Partzilla for the Neutral Indicator switch, I figured why not by this and then see if it would start since I knew they both needed replace. Boom. Problem solved. I’ve ridden around 250 miles and had no issues. Although I did pack a small kitchen fire extinguisher in my saddle bag because one review made me scared this part was going to catch my crotch on fire. It works for me.

Works good.
This solenoid did the job and was much cheaper than buying from an auto parts store.

Good, Cheap replacement
Got it when I was having issues with my 07 ZX10R not starting, it came with the solenoid and a fuse included which was pretty handy, turns out it was the problem but now I have a back up in case my OEM one does fail. What I can say is it looks like an exact copy of the OEM one, on the outside at least. I have yet to crack one open but I am hoping to eventually get the chance as I would love to compare the internals to check quality. As for installation, it is pretty straight forward, access you solenoid area, remove two bolts, check fuse, insert new solenoid, tighten bolts, bam and done.

perfect replacement for my application (99 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500)
The solenoid has the same dimensions and shape as the OEM part that failed. What an inexpensive fix to get me going again! Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500, model year 1999.
