It is real Dr Pepper
We are using it. Works just fine. Tastes just like out of the fountain drinks. It is not an imitation. It really is Dr Pepper.

definitaly a money savior
the 2.5 and 5 gallon bags were rediculous in price, but the 1 gallons seemed decent price being only about 2 dollars more then sams. I decided to go with amazon due to quicker shipping. If you plan on using this with your soda stream, just a heads up will want a 1 gallon jug to pour this syrup in. It comes with a plastic hose hook up that you will need to punch through. After you punch through it, it won't be able to be stored without the pouring it into a jug. Here the breakdown i came up with at 30 dollars (including shipping) listed price. Is making your own soda worth it?!If you plan on sticking with soda streams booby trap plan of paying a rediculous 15 dollars per co2 refilland nearly 7 dollars for 12 ounces of syrup. plus the soda maker. It would take approximately 3012 12 packs of soda foryou to break even. So no it is not.But there is good news. If you buy an adapter kit and a paintball co2 tank made from 6-24 oz bottles. You can make your money back and then some, afterthe first refill of co2. Heres the break down:1 gallon of name brand syrup (pepsi, dr. pepper etc) from sames equlivant of 320 can sodas/26.6 12 packs= 30$106 dollars equilavant to 26.6 12 packs.(with a sale price of 4$ mind you)A refill at any sports store for paintball co2 makes 277 cans 12 oz/ 23.12 12 packs of co2= 5$92 dollars equlivant of 23.12 packs of sodaAll estimates based on lowest value of 277 cans/23.12 12 packs of soda.syrup (name brand syrup from sams for 1 gallon) and 5 dollar refill at any sporting store for co2=35$co2 bottle(based on the 24 oz. paintball bottle)- 27$ (average price)sodastream maker(plastic bottle inluded)- average price 80.Sodastream adapter= 30$ (average price on ebay)total inital investment= 127total cost per 23.12 twelve packs= 92$Obvously at first it is not, but wait.35$ more for soda syrup and co2 refill92$ more if you were to buy 23.12 twelve packs at the store.total investment after 26.24 12 packs of soda= $162Total of what 46.24 12 packs would cost at the store= $184next 23.12 12 packstotal investment:refill/homemade=$197store bought=$276As time goes on you will save more an more. If you are a heavy soda/ energy drinker, then it is in your best interest to ditchthe soda stream booby trap, get the adapter and co2 bottle for it.

Leaked everywhere
It leaked everywhere! Even worse we could not find the source of the leak. But we put it in a different container and were able to salvage the remaining syrup which was fine.

Tasted great but didn't make enough to be worth the price. I wouldn't buy this again. I wish it was more concentrated.

Homemade drinks - Not as amazing as the expensive price tag.
I use the cheapest method, as real fountain systems cost thousands of dollars, this syrup is very expensive (along with the costs of CO2), and SodaStream is a PoS that goes flat in minutes. So what do I do? I just use Seltzer Water.4-5 ice cubs in a cup, open a crisp can of seltzer water, and add this syrup and then stir a little bit. It's far better than 2 liter dr.pepper. Especially since you can give it extra syrup, despite the increased health risks of such a lifestyle.Fortunately for my health, I do not care all this much. As much as I used to drink a 2-liter of dr.pepper every day, I don't do it anymore and mostly consist on Tea, Water, and Big Blue. I use this as an occasional splurge, but my body rejects soda most of the time now since I stopped craving it so much. I'm not a health freak, but this actually killed my desire to kill myself with Dr.Pepper. Despite how awesome it was to drink the first time.Don't try to use a 2-liter of Dr.Pepper, with added syrup. It will go flat almost instantly.Seltzer Water (I've only had Cans of Seltzer Water) needs to be kept cold in the refrigerator too. Use ice, a cold can of seltzer water, and however much syrup you want. Seltzer Water has more Fizz than a soda drink like dr.pepper does. It doesn't matter if the Dr.Pepper is cold or not, Selzter Water is fizzier and is required to get that fresh taste.Surprisingly, I still have this 1 gallon BIB, despite my love for Dr.Pepper. I guess I just don't have a deathwish anymore. I'd thought I'd have used it almost immediately, but it lasts quite a long while.I actually wish I did NOT waste the moeny on a BIB Tap Valve. It would honestly be significantly better to open the bag and simply pour it all into a syrup dispensing bottle, like they use at Sno-Cone restaurants or syrup at a real Bar.Just to note: If I do drink Dr.Pepper, it is with this & a can of cold seltzer. I refuse to drink 2-liter or fountain-drinks from restaurants. They are literally watered down crap compared to the freshness of a fountain drink with that extra zing of syrup.

real deal dr. pepper for your sodastream
you can make dr. pepper just the way you like it. i add a shot of vanilla.if you are using this for sodastream Sodastream Fountain Jet Soda Maker Starter Kit (not the dispenser it was made for) this is what i had to do:1. with a drill, carefully drill out a large hole (warning, i wouldn't use a knife) in the dispenser cap2. pour the syrup into a secondary container. then use that to fill your sodastream bottle.3. if i was missing something plz let me know as i will be re-upping on this item.tip: try dr. pepper and chocolate ice cream for a decadent treat.(see my followup note about BIB Tap Valve for Bag-in-Box Syrups)

Works
Works the way I'd like. Not really convinced this is cheaper than buying the bottles but you can control the amount you use.
