Go back to the early days of computing with a time-proven cord organizer that's easy to use... if you know your knots. Lacing cord has been used to lash bundles of communication cables together since at least the '40s and can be configured however you like. Waxed for extra strength, this spool contains 500 yards of .085" wide high-tensile nylon. Meets MIL-T-43435B specifications as Type 1, Finish B, Size 3.

Excellent for Leatherworking
I have been using waxed lacing tape for stitching leatherworking projects for years. If you are careful not to twist the cord, its flat shape can provide an excellent subtlety to any stitches your project needs.

Waxed cord
Needed cording to restring windchimes. Was easy to use. It worked well for this chore. I am hoping it will hold up to the weather, sun and time. Most windchimes last about 3 or 4 yrs in this local; then must be restrung or tossed out.

Good stuff.
So while building my 3D printer I decided that I hated the way the four motor leads got spread out all over the place. I don't like that, cause it makes wiring a real pain. I looked in to several solutions---zip ties, cable ties, Velcro, spiral wrap, mesh wrap, wire conduit, and cable lacing. Cable lacing seemed like the best solution for me since most of my wires weren't going to be retained all the time but may need to get stuffed inside t-slot slots, so I ordered this spool of waxed lacing tape after doing a bit of testing with some of my wife's yarn and realizing that yarn slides around too much on slick wire insulation. This stuff works very well. It stays in place once you tighten knots down. It's surprisingly strong; I haven't accidentally torn any of this lacing tape apart. The only things I can ding it for is the wax that gets on your hands while working with it and the difficulty of tying knots with the waxed lacing tape.I am by no means a pro at cable lacing, but I'm quite happy with how the motor wires are coming out. There are two pics attached; one is unlaced and one is laced.A little tip...Use a marline hitch.

No Wax
First time bought this and no wax. My receiving clerk missed it and production just pulled it. Have to trash as we are passed the cutoff time to return.

Flat lace and just enough wax
I’ve had a hard time finding this style of waxed wire lacing. I was looking for more of a lace instead of a round string. I also wanted a lower wax content. This product is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I feel like the flat lace spreads out the stress on the wire bundle and the lower wax content is enough to hold the knot tight, but not so much that you end up with a gooey mess on your hands.Perfect! And I’d have no hesitation in ordering from this vendor again. Quick shipping and appropriate packaging.

Multi-purpose but great for wind chimes
I really like this lacing. It comes in handy for many jobs. Based on feedback another left about wind chimes, I decided to repair some wooden chimes where the string had broken. I did come up with a neat trick for threading the lacing through the tiny holes in the old wood chimes... I use some 15 lb. test monofilament fishing line, stiff enough to push through the hole in the wood, make a loop, feed it back through the hole in the wood, then thread the lacing cord though the loop of the fishing line.... Slowly pull on both strands of the fishing line, the loop will get smaller, it will then pull the lacing cord through the hole...

Thin, very little wax
This is about half the width of the lacing cord that I've used for decades, and there is very little wax. The cord doesn't stick to the spool and tends to unwind itself.

It’s exactly as advertised.
An exact replacement for the cord I’ve been using for years. I’ve used this type of cord on military vehicles and equipment. It’s strong and holds well up under a variety of conditions. It’s useful around the house and garage especially if you want to clean up some wiring by making your own harnesses. You can lace or wrap it on a pencil or anything you would like a little extra grip to .
