OK, but ......
A novella (140 pages, with plenty of gaps, large font, and large chapter headings). It's OK, but not great, and if it wasn't by Deon Meyer, I suspect most people wouldn't pursue it.Left me wondering why it was released. Wonder if the mostly negative to his last book (Fever, a post-apocalypse book, NOT a Saf Af cop book) led to the publishers pressing him to get something out, quickly, which would be better received.A very thin Benny Griesel book would fit that bill.Disappointing, as I was eagerly waiting for the next ('proper') Benny book..

Really disappointing
I'm a great fan of Deon Meyer and I have enjoyed all his books so far. except for this one.It starts well. But the author seemed to have lost interest half-way through, and the ending is a damp squid. The book is very short, the font size is large and there are several empty pages. as a result, the overwhelming sense of padding. really disappointing ....

Unsatisfied
I don't expect Deon Meyer books to fizzle out like this one did. I was enjoying it, then it finished. As usual - nicely written, but not long enough to be exciting. Very unsatisfying really. And very overpriced.

Short Changed!
This book is too short. 138 pages of oversized font for £12.99 is not right. Not like Deon Meyer at all.

Very fine story
This is an excellent novel with a realistic and enjoyable cast of characters. The two detectives are diligent and believable.Great character development.
