The stand requires one tool, that it ships with, although I found that using a different (T handle) Allen wrench was easier. But the stand is light, well made, and very sturdy. I'm very pleased especially given its price.

It's very compact and easy to set up, so it's great to take to band practice. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't adjust far enough to hold an electric the way I would like. I haven't had any issues with it holding the guitar, but I'm cautious around it for fear of knocking the guitar off. I'm happy enough with it that I would consider buying another and it works good with the acoustic.

Was a little skeptical when I first opened the box, but after a little trial and error It worked great. Tip: this will not support your classical guitar if you don't adjust the extendable tabs snug against the front of guitar. Im use to stands that lean on a stand, this is more a friction fit. Otherwise your guitar will just fall to the floor

cheap price but made well enuff ! if you are not using it on stage counting on it in different sceanarios , can't beat the price ....

I bought this as a stand for my concert ukulele at home and for camping and received much more than I expected, first it is much smaller than it looked in the picture and folded up it has a tiny footprint which is excellent for my needs. Second it has some width adjustment, feels well made, has nice soft rubbery pads to protect the finish of my ukulele and feels pretty stable for its size. Third it is a beautiful design. I am impressed by the simple yet elegant design of this stand, some serious thought went into this. I also tried this with my Breedlove acoustic guitar and perfect fit and stability there too. I will be getting a second one for the guitar and will highly recommend these to my friends. Is it childproof? No but what stand is, in a camping situation you could secure it with a couple of tent stakes over the legs. This is a well designed and beautiful stand.....' well done!

Stand says it accommodates for basses and guitars. I have three basses that range in weight and scale. None of them are stable in this stand.It is a neat device with how it has adjustments and seemingly customizable for any instrument. Using it in its starting adjustment puts your guitar at a very inconvenient angle. It is at about a 50-60 degree angle from the ground and would take up a lot of space. At this angle, your guitar / bass takes up a lot of space. Also at this angle, one of the front legs lift off the ground when holding my basses. The weight at that angle was too much for the stand. I shifted my basses around on no avail.I tried all the other configurations and it worked better at a less of an angle. However it is still rikity and the angle is still greater than a Hercules A frame stand. I tried my bass on my guitar players Hercules and it is by far superior to this stand. Clearly, you get what you pay for but the manufacturer really ought to market this product to what it is best suited. I purchased it based on other buyer reviews. I'm curious how they felt this stand deserved 5 stars.On a side note, I was able to get this stand to hold my acoustic guitar quite nicely. I think it's a combination weight/shorter stature that made it work so well. Im off to buy a Hercules stand now.

Does not fold up as fast as the Tetra-Teknica TourPro EGS-06 ABS Plastic, but it is an attractive, sturdy, well-made piece. The rubber grips the guitar well. Folds slightly smaller than the Tetra-Teknica TourPro EGS-06 ABS Plastic.

Does the job, saves me leaning my guitar against the wall.

Well made but not as good as some for holding acoustic instruments

Arrived the following day and fits my Epiphone Dot perfectly. Very neat, lightweight and well made, and at a great price.
