Buffalo Electronics BEIRE1 IR-E1 IR Emitter44; with LED

I needed to replace the emitter for a Next Generation Remote Control Extender. This serves as a perfect replacement for the original one that came with the Next Generation unit. This emitter has the same size plug as the original and works just as well as the original. Once you have the emitter in place, be careful not to pull on the cord since that is how I damaged the original one, the wiring became separated from the emitter and it is so tiny you could never try to reattach it unless you are a very skilled ant using a tiny soldering gun. This new one saved the day!

Didn't work at all. as a matter of fact, I had the cable company come to my house to see if there was a problem with my system and they told me this was basically useless and charged my $45 service call. I would not recommend buying this item.

This flasher was very easy to setup. I followed the advise of another reviewer and used thermostat wire from the repeater to the block. I doubled up the ground wire and used 2 thermostat wires. I have no lag, no misses in any remote functions. I am very happy with the function and allows me to hide my electronics in a cabinet out of site. These flashers have a very long cord, probably too long, but I can just wrap up and it works for me.

It didn't work with my Comcast cable box. I'm sure it would be a perfect solution for other boxes/devices, but not my Comcast/Xfinity box. It was cheap enough to give it a shot.

I bought this to use to let my DVR control my cable box. It works reasonably well. Occasionally, it forgets to send out a "4" if it's a cable channel in the 40s, which is weird, but everything else works fine, and does what I need/expect it to.

Pretty much what I expected. They work fine with my home control systems. The only comparison I have is to those installed by my contractor and we've had 3-4 out of perhaps 30 fail. I bought a batch of these from Buffalo to have as backup.

I have a Control4 HC-300 for my home theater, and this emitter is used on my TV, so it is attached on/near the IR sensor on the TV, and seems to work great.

doesn't seem to be compatible with the products i need it to work with. its the right size, etc, but i thought IR was IR, but apparently not. i would research the products before buying.
