Westinghouse 7048000 12-Foot Swag Kit, Polished Brass Finish

These are exactly as described. I got two sets to hang these vintage swags I'm using as grow lights for some of my indoor plants. The chain/cord set was easy to use, although I had to look up how to open a link separately as that wasn't addressed in the instructions. The set included hardware to hang the hooks in both drywall and wood. Luckily, I hung mine from a drywall covered wood beam. Otherwise, I would've had problems as my largest drill bit was smaller than would've been required to feed the anchor through the hole, so that might not be practical for most who only gave a standard bit set that stops at 1/4" and who don't want to ruin their bits by repeatedly trying to enlarge a drywall hole. I also had to purchase wire nuts separately, which I would've expected to be included in such a kit, although some jurisdictions may not technically allow the use of these, so i can understand why they weren't included. Additionally, it would have been nice to have had a matching twist lock chain link in each set to avoid having to pry a link open. Overall, this still gets 5 stars because everything that was supposed to be included was there, but the above are just considerations you may want to make when embarking on a similar project.

This offers the best value for the money of most of the chains I've found available. Great for replacing aged brass chain on hanging lamps.

I wanted brass gold colored cord and chain but was still skeptical about the artificial color it might be.I first thought it’s too yellow over my white wall but when light is on at night, it’s perfectly camouflaged with warm tone lighting. So satisfying

Chain links are very strong. Will hold their shape very well under load. This complete kit allowed me to extend my lamp from it's current location to the center of the room with chain and cord left over. The price was great.

I live in an apartment and wanted a ceiling fan in the dining area. The maintenance man mounted the base into the ceiling for me and I did the rest from there. The length of the chain and electric cord is sufficient. I am somewhat fixed in my ways and did not want the electric wire twisted in the chain, so naturally that took me some time to get it through the chain without any wire twisting. If you do not care if the wire is twisted you can run the wire through the length of the chain in 2 or 3 minutes. I got what I wanted and not only is the price better than at Lowe's and Home Depot, but delivery was in 2 days because of Prime. So, I saved money on the cost of gas and state tax. You just have to love Amazon !

This worked fine for my application of installing a pool table light. However, the light fixture is very heavy and I doubled the chain. Looks great!

We got this to convert a light I bought that is a hanging lamp but should be wired direct. With this I can convert it into a plug in lamp that hangs. I have used the kit before and they work well for what you want as long as you have all the parts and know what you want to end up with.
