THEY COME IN TWO WATERPROOF TUBES, BUT WE WANTED TO USE LESS SPACE & ALREADY HAVE A SURVIVAL KNIFE WITH A WATERPROOF STORAGE HANDLE (BUCK'S "BUCKMASTER")WE WERE ABLE TO STOW BOTH KITS AND SOME EXTRAS OF OUR OWN PERFECTLY IN THAT & USED THE TUBES THAT CAME WITH THE KITS FOR POWDERED BROTH & COFFEE FOR FUTURE ADVENTURES. Best survival fishing kit to add to your survival kit, bug out bag, or hiking bag. I looked long and hard, read lots of reviews, etc. And I was thrilled when this one arrived! I have created my own survival kit, piecing together the best items by doing a lot of research rather then buying a kit that you have to add more to anyways. This was the perfect addition for the fishing kit portion. Compact bottle, a plastic test tube about 4" long and .5" diameter. Includes all the basics for survival fishing and a little instruction book that fits with it, and bonus, you get 2! A huge bang for your buck! If you are looking for a compact, complete fishing kit to add to your survival kit and gets lots of bang for your buck, THIS IS IT!!!

I'm no professional, but the components are good, everything fits neatly inside the tube, and it looks like the perfect thing to add to a kit if you like having a minimal amount of supplies to get by with. I bought this and put one tube inside my lifeline ultralight survival kit in my car (that kit will also fit a little knife, lighter, and firesteel if need be) and put the other tube in my main survival kit as a backup to the fishing supplies I already packaged myself. I recommend doing what I did -- put one in a minimalist bug out bag, and the other in reserve in your main one.

I puchased a set of these to go in my wife and I's hiking daypacks. If I were putting together a "bugout bag", family disaster survival kit, etc. I would probably look for something a little more substantial, or perhaps build a kit myself. Still, the tiny size, plastic tube case and neglible weight of these make them a great hassle-free item to put in your bag when you go out in the woods just in case things go "horribly wrong". Hopefully we never have to use them, but if we do we'll sure we glad we have them.

As for shipping, it arrived sooner than stated in the delivery schedule. This is a good BASIC set. If space limitation is a big issue, this contains the basic fishing equipment and is very compact. I ordered these to go in our emergency packs, it includes everything you need. Would not use this kit for a fishing weekend, but it will work for an emergency.

Everything came in as advertised, and the idea of fitting in two of the same thing is really helpful. Some survival gear you don't want to "mess up," but with this product, you can use one to practice, and the other to stash away. It's small enough that it fits inside my "pelican" waterproof box.

I was expecting something a little larger than what I had recieved. The small size was a bit of a shock, but the feather weight would be much appreciated in the "long haul".

The fishing kit is a great fit and packaged perfectly to be included in a compact and substantially complete bug out or survival bag. It has very basic, but sufficient components to provide a method of aquiring a protein source if stranded or if evading undesirables. It is also very affordable if stocking multiple bags.
