We use this on our garage door because our dogs have figured out how to jiggle the door and the handle and get out which they like to do right as we're pulling a car in. For their safety and our pice of mind we wanted to the door to be more secure, but don't care if it locks.Gets and extra star or two because I haven't found a single other product that does this job. The handles are kind of annoying to use, but the deadbolt is sized well and secure.

It was not quite what I expected but I was able to make it work. I bought this to replace a couple of regular door knobs. This is not a direct replacement for a regular door knob (The picture is deceptive). I had to make a number of tweaks and changes to the door in order to get this to fit. I also had to replace the screws that come with the kit. Still, I was able to make everything work and it looks great.

Be sure to measure! I *thought* I had measured correctly, but when the parts arrived, I realized that the lock is not deep enough to handle the width of a standard American door.I ended up having to buy some parts and make some custom modifications to put this to use. It looks good, but took a lot of work with a hacksaw and superglue...

As described. I would buy again.

I am not satisfied with the product for the following reasons:- your advertising says it is compatible with US doors, no special tools required, which is not the case. If you want anything less than 2 inch width you must cut or grind down the internal square connector. Since The locking mechanism is rectangular and larger than most US locking mechanisms so I had to chisel out the door for it to fit. Now a standard US lock will not fit the door. I used this devise on a bathroom door and since you call this a "lock" anyone could open the locked door from the outside. To solve that problem I had to again grind down and round over the internal square connector where it connects to the outside handle.Although the outside function is a clean and looks very nice, it is not a direct replacement for a standard US lock.

Sadly it didnt work as I thought it would. Nobodys fault, I guess.

Missing parts! Not complete

The item came with no manual or installation instructions.This item is described as a lock, but it does not lock, it is a handle that can open a door from both ends; hence I cannot use it on a bathroom door for example; because one cannot lock it.
