Bright. Just like our next POTUS.All LED lights are bright when you look at them. Yes. It will hurt your eyes. My eyes hurt when I look @ The POTUS.The challenge to LED lighting is how far the light will "throw". For something like this unit, the height to mount this at would be about 10' off the ground. That would raise the lamp to where it would be difficult to tamper with, still within reach via a 6' ladder, and be able to give you at least 10' of well lit area from the mounting surface. But I have seen lights like this installed at different heights, with varying degrees of success. Sometimes, you only want it 1 meter off the ground to illuminate a walkway.Of course, don't listen to me. I'm not a mathematician, a licensed contractor, the manufacturer of the product, a seller, or even a lighting technician. Just a homeowner who has installed a few lights.....like this one, and others that are similar.This is not expensive. This is not a high quality item. Your heirs will not fight over this after you die.Mounting location must be in an area with good sunlight, preferably southern exposure. In my yard, the south wall does not have any solar powered lights installed, because they would be on the north side of the south wall. There won't be much charging in the shade.If installing more than one, think about the distance that you will need between lights. Do you want the lighting to overlap? Or are you comfortable with a little more space between fixtures? To keep it simple, I install as if these were hardwired; so mine are spaced at 10' apart, as if there was a piece of conduit running between the fixtures. But of course, you have to pick locations that are available to you, and for ease of installation, so you're probably going to end up with different distances. Instead of using hardware, I try to use wire ties whenever possible, so that I can easily relocate them, and not leave holes behind. Security gates are great locations, as are fence lines.

Last year we bought a small place (1 & 1/2 acres that is long and "shoe-box" shaped) that is covered in trees which lets very little light in some areas. We set up our little storage shed away from the house on the other side of our yard where there is no light at all. This light fit perfectly and works wonderfully right above the door. Absolutely perfect for our needs.

Have only owned for a week, light is bright, but the motion sensor is weak and needs improvement, add stated this unit had updated sensor but still not very good coverage. I have unit mounted 10-12 feet off of the ground.

I like these because they have settings to not stay on all night wasting the charge and come on nice and bright when you walk near them, I have tried the ones that stay on dim then brighten up as you pass by but they run out of charge overnight and this one does not,

It is good but not strong

I was really disappointed in this light. I put it up in three different places, with adequate light and still nothing, it never charged and it never lit up. Really sad because I had high hopes for this product.

Very bright light and I use this inside a Fl room (glass room) as a night light. The sun coming into the room charges the light easy.

Works very well and MUCH brighter than I thought it would be, especially for the price
