THE EXPOSITOR'S STUDY BIBLE (ESB)IS ONE OF A KIND!!I've been wanting to write this review for some time now. I believe this Bible has been anointed and set apart from all others by the Holy Spirit! There are a number of good Study Bibles out there and I have copies of most of them but this one is different. The study notes are embedded in the Scriptural text in brackets with italic red print. No more searching all over the place trying to find the notes! The Scriptural text itself is printed in bold black print making it easy to read the Scriptures without the notes when desired. The notes are more interpretation/application oriented although they do offer some technical and cultural information. They focus on Jesus Christ and the Cross from Genesis to Revelation...as John 5:39 says they should. Although they come from a Pentecostal perspective, they are completely evangelical and suitable for all believers. The primary annotator is Jimmy Swaggart which may cause some people concern due to his publicly exposed sins of the 1980's which he has repented of. However, for those who find this a stumbling block, you might have trouble with the book of Psalms in any Bible due to David's sin with Bathsheba! I would rather judge the ESB on its own merit. The ESB uses a mildly updated King James Version which is a literal, powerful translation. It's notes are illuminating and frankly, it is hard to put this Bible down!Regarding the physical features of the ESB, I have the Cromwell Bonded Leather edition and I have recently ordered the Genuine Leather edition through Amazon.com. These and other editions are also available at Jimmy Swaggart's website for very reasonable prices-[...]. I have ordered a number of these through [...] and given them away as gifts. All leather editions have a Smythsewn binding which is much more durable than most Bibles on the market. Additionally, as mentioned above, the Scriptural text is printed in bold black print and the notes in bold red print. This print is darker and clearer than any Bible I have seen! The paper is a quality clean white color and can even handle being marked with a highlighter without bleedthrough. This is the best printed Bible I have come across and I find it amazing that all the big Bible publishers are not even close to this type of quality product.I should add that the ESB includes a concordance and some helpful articles at the back including an article entitled "Introducing the Bible". I've given this Bible 5 stars because it's the best quality, most illuminating Bible I have seen!Read it because the Scriptures are "able to make you wise unto Salvation through Faith which is in Christ Jesus" 2 Timothy 3:15

I love the fact that the explanations are written in red right after each part in the scriptures. (The Scriptures are typed in Black-originally-unless you change the background color, then it will be a separate color from the red explanation). Truly helps you understand without adding or subtracting the meaning of God’s Word. I also love how easy it is to jump through to the different chapters of the Bible, as I have read some before where navigation was difficult....it is easy with this version. I love it so much I also purchased a physical copy of the Bible for my daughter after receiving one for myself as a gift. The only dislike that I could have at all, if any, is the fact that some of Swaggart’s topics in the Crossfire Edition physical Bible are not found within the app. (For Example, there is one that is “Who Gets Raptured?”) However, it is still the entire Bible in a beautifully put together-easy to read and understand-way. I haven’t seen anything quite like it yet! I pray they eventually update it to include the Crossfire Edition because it is AMAZING! However, it is still WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE! The Bible I bought was outstanding they said the book was in good condition, not so , it was in excellent condition . I'm very pleased and would buy from these people again.

The media could not be loaded. Large print. The Book was in excellent condition even though it was used by a previous owner. The hardcover still has its gloss with no scratches. Pages don't appear to be marked at all by previous owner. I just received it so I'll have to wait and see how this study Bible explains the Scriptures. Explanations are in parentheses in red lettering within the Scriptures which makes it easier to following along vs. having to look up the reference explanations.

This bible is just what I wanted. The print is large and my Mom can see it and Brother Swaggart's explanation of the bible helps so much with his references and teachings.
