I have 3 Trane HVAC units and had used the 25x20x5 filters by honeywell. I noticed that these were slightly too small and thus rattled a bit, making loud noises. I assumed that these Trane filters would be the perfect fit, since it was specifically designed for Trane units and the only filters anywhere close to the previous measurements that I mentioned. Well, they are way too big and had to be squished to fit; in addition, the door to the filter compartment does not close so we had to use duct tape to seal the filter in. It costs way too much to ship back so we ended up just keeping them. I would recommend measuring your filter compartment very carefully! Don't assume that this will fit your Trane HVAC unit.

Fits well and the construction is very similar to the stock Trane filter this replaced.
