Well made in USA
The unit is galvanized, so should be weather resistant & durable. Easy to install, just slips right into 4" diameter exhaust vent pipe. I added adhesive caulk to joint for better sealing and retention. Downside: a bit expensive, but these days everything is much more expensive....sigh..

Helped with our hot water tank blowing out
We have a hot water tank that seems to have the gas blow out easily. We replaced a few parts on it before, but over the past 6 months or so, seems to easily blow out. Father in law mentioned the gas vent cap as a potential cause. We have the same gas vent cap on both of our water heaters, only have issues with this one, but this one is in the direct line of a lot of wind between our house and our neighbors.Installed this - fairly easy, and so far so good after that!

Vent cap
This works great for my chimney on my shop. I was a little paranoid that water might get thru some of the seams so I used a sealer on them. So far it's been great. I drilled holes thru it and riveted it to the lower piping for support from wind. It also had a rubber seal around the bottom that I'm hoping doesn't melt from the heat. Overall a great piece and would buy again.

Just what I needed.
My old vent topper on my furnace vent was rusted and falling apart. I measures the vent opening and it was at 4 inches. I ordered this product and it fit perfectly into the Opening. I did paint it with high temp paint to prevent rusting. I also used some self tapping screws to secure it down. Screws probably weren't needed but i did anyway.

Sturdy and esy to instal
I am using these to protect bathroom vent fans from rain incursion. They ar much better designed than my old ones.

Solid built unit
This was a well built heavy roof cap for the gas stack. Unfortunately it did not fit my stack as I miscalculated the size and had to return it. I am sure if I had put it on, it would have lasted 25 years with absolutely no issues.
